Enriching to the Christian journey
To serve God is to understand who God is, not a perception of who God is but who God is from his word. Tozer addresses this issue in a devotional manner which was enriching to my Christian journey.

Beautifully written devotonal about the fear of the Lord.
As a devotional read, this book can only benefit you. I bought it to replace a copy published by STL, which was falling to bits from use. Tozer writes eloquently about the holiness of God and fear of God, basing his work on Proverbs 9:10",The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding".His purpose in writing was to reassert the majesty of God, which he thought had been lost sight of when he was writing in1961, He explains very concisely 19 attributes of God, and reading it will change your life, it will give you a deeper perception of the holinesss of God.My carping criticism, which has reduced my valuation by one star, is that my STL version had a list of references to the Scriptures which fortunately he cites in full, but it would have been nice to have known where they are. There was also a list of notes of other sources in my last copy, which would have given a help with further reading, eg where St Anselm's Prologium could be obtained, or Rudolf Otto . And Evangelical or Pentecostal readers should not be put off by the cover, which is not identified but looks like the Sistine Chapel ceiling or similar, which is hardly Tozer! But as far as I can see, the text is complete and unaltered.( later: but other reviewers have spotted typos, which i have found to be so, so I would have have docked it another star if I could. On the strength of the Tozer writing, it would have been worth 5.)But buy it!

Efficient and potent read
Tozer doesn’t mess around. We can only “know” a small fraction of Who God is, but Tozer does great work in nudging us there.

This book is very much needed for today’s Christendom. An eye opener for a believer. Well expressed and easily understandable.

This was very enlightening and so true. I mean it was written by A.W. Tozer, need I say more? It does bring much knowledge of the Holy

Many pearls of knowing!
Tozer had such a great gift of simplifying Christian teachings. So many authors seem to need 1000 words in an attempt to express their ideas, whereas Tozer is more clear and understandable with 100 words.

Every Child of God should read thus bin
This book declares the Majesty of God in a way I have never read before. The only response to this book is for the reader to bow their heart in humility and repent of not affording God the Majesty and Reverence He is due! To purpose for the remainder of their life here on earth to extol, glorify, magnify, exalt honor God in the ways that truly magnify Him as the Great Loving Creator Who Sustains all life in perfect love!
