It feels light but also sturdy until I tried it out and noticed that it doesn’t lock into place when opened. There is a small metal piece that makes a sound as it clicks into the hole but it isn’t long enough through the hole to hold it in place and I wish there was another on the other side as well. That might have helped. It takes little movement to begin folding up which it great when storing away. I can catch myself but feel unsure about other members of my family who I purchased it for. I love the convenience for travel and space saving. Make your decision based on your needs obviously and I hope this helps. This is light enough to load on my walker to carry in but yet seems sturdy enough to hold my larger frame. It folds easily with a thin profile when folded. With the seat width, I have plenty of room on the sides to use to push myself up to a standing position.
