These scales are the best we've had - and this is our third set. We bought a bluetooth well known brand at twice the price but they were so much hassle as we had to first tap, then wait for the display to go through the motions etc. These silver Homebud scales just work. No tapping first or hanging around. Just get on them and a nice, clear white reading appears within a few seconds in stones, pounds AND ounces (or kilograms and grams if you prefer) which my wife especially likes. I was concerned they were poor quality initially as they were delivered in a very thin cardboard sleeve with the scales inside a foam insert. However, they really are great and a total bargain for the price. Note: as with all these scales, they need to be used on a hard surface, not on carpet or vinyl etc. We have vinyl in our bathroom so we keep them on a thick piece of board and that seems to work perfectly.

These are basic scales and just what you need but I'm not sure of one thing - they seem to change a ton unless you keep them in one exact spot. I don't know if my floors are really uneven or if the scales are the issue but they're in one designated spot now and seem to be working just fine. They look sleek. They're small and compact and they run off of AA batteries which is so much better than the fiddly little batteries. Again I don't know if it's my floors or the scales but they're working just fine in one place and serve their purpose. They weigh in lbs, stones and kg and seem sturdy. If you're on a budget and just want to see your progress they're a bargain.

I didnt buy these to monitor my own weight, I bought them because I have a new puppy and need to monitor his weight without having to go tot he vets every week to get him weighed (I weigh me then pick the puppy up and weigh us together so I know what his weight is). Because of this I wanted something simple and easy to use - I didnt need anything fancy or complicated that I could link to my phone to track my weight, monitor my BMI etc - I just needed simple, straightforward scales that measured weight accurately. These scales do that perfectly !!! You simply step on them they callibrate and then display your weight on the very clear and easy to read digital display. The weight stays on the display for a short time after you get off the scales, then they switch themselves off - simples !!!! There is an easy to use button on the back giving the option of weight in kilograms, stones and pounds or just pounds. I use kilos for the puppy, and if I am interested in my own weight, change it over to stones and pounds (cos I am old hahahahah). The scales are very slim, neat and tidy and stylish to look at. They use 3 x AAA batteries, which are supplied with the scales. All in all and very pleased with them

A year or so ago, I bought one of those expensive scales that takes every measurement on your body that you can think of, then it connects to your phone so it can send the numbers to your Fitbit app and combine them with your workout, sleep, and whatever else you track with your Fitbit. It sounded awesome when I was reading about it on Amazon. It had good reviews and a pretty high rating. But when I received it, I discovered that it was really complicated. It took forever to connect it to my phone and once it did, the scale didn't always send all the information to my Fitbit app. Sometimes it wouldn't even connect at all, and I have wicked wi-fi, it has never droppped the signal. Then, to top it off, this thing went through batteries like a baby going trough diapers (sorry, it was the only comparison I could think of). The day I ordered the Homebuds, I tried to use the other scale first to check my weight because I haven't checked it in a while and I've lost a significant amount of weight recently. I wanted to see what the new number was. The batteries were dead again (of course), so I replaced them with brand new batteries out of a pack and the stupid thing was still dead. I checked the batteries with my multimeter just to be sure they weren't the problem, and they all showed a full charge. There was no damage to the scale, no rust or battery leakage in the battery compartment to cause any connection problems, the thing was just dead as a door nail (sorry, I'm a little old, the Z Gen might not get that saying, hahaha). Anyway, I chucked it out and grabbed my phone to see what I could find on Amazon. This time I wanted something inexpensive, but good quality. I wanted something that I could just stand on and it would give me my weight without any other bells and whistles. I found the Homebuds listing and it was $20 after a coupon. I was a little skeptical cause usually when something is that cheap, it's that cheap, if you know what I mean? But I started reading the reviews and everyone was so happy with their Homebuds scale. Then I noticed that over 6000 people had purchased the Homebuds scale this month. No other scale listed on Amazon came close to that many sales, I should know, I checked. As soon as it arrived I opened it, put it on the floor and stood on it. Turns out I've lost twenty pounds in about 2 months, I went from195.8lbs to 176.1lbs, not bad, eh? My goal is about 155lbs, I know that still sounds like a lot, but for me it's not. At that weight I'll have a flat tummy. I've already got my thin, shapely legs back, and my backside is back to what I had in my twenties, woohoo! Anyway, back to the scale... I love this thing! It looks really good, it's sleek, and it's so blue that it's almost black, so it'll go with any decor. It's so easy to use, once it's on a flat surface and calibrated (which just take a couple of seconds), you just step on it and in a second or two it locks on to your weight down to 00.0lbs. If you're looking for a scale to just tell you what you weight, then you'd be a fool not to buy the Homebuds scale. It's the best purchase I've made all year! Try it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
