We used this barn door slider kit for the entrance to our closet, my husband wanted to get ready in the closet and have a door to block the light, this kit was perfect easy to follow instructions and very sturdy/heavy duty. Love the look and great price.

This is legit hardware for a barn door. The instructions are a little "Ikea-ish" but are still good enough to get the hardware installed. By that I mean, some of the instructions are written like short hand and the way they designate measurements are not standard. Easy to overcome if you read it through 3-4 times before you start your actual install. The hardware is heavy and seems sturdy. I built my own barn door so I was a little worried cause I used actual wood and not some cheap, crappy, light particle board replica. It holds the door well with NO FLEX. The door glides across the track with ease. This kit DOES come with floor guides for the door but they are plastic and have to be screwed into the FLOOR. I purchased a separate one that can be screed into the molding or wall and it worked out better for me. Oh, this does NOT come with a handle. HAHA. Not sure why I thought it would but it doesn't so at first I had to move the door along the track very carefully. The one downside I had with this is, I ordered a longer bar which is NOT one bar but two. Those two bars are held together by a plate and 4 SMALL bolts. The instructions have you putting together the bars first and then holding them up to the wall. If you are a home DIYer, this might not go as smooth as they or you planned. BE WARY OF THE TWO BARS FLEXING ON THEIR OWN. This will bend and twist the plate and there will be some work to be done to get the bars to line up evenly again. On that note specifically, if they would have just made it so that there were TWO PLATES (one on each side) to hold the bars together for the longer sets, this might have solved this whole problem. Mine has a little bump in the middle that doesn't really impede the operation but you can tell there is a small misaligned due to the bar being slightly being bent. Other than that, I love the hardware. Very simple and easy to install.

This kit arrived well packaged, and had decent installation instructions. We used it on a reclaimed solid-wood door and it looks and functions excellently! The rollers are smooth and heavy duty, for sure. It also comes with adequate safety considerations like a bumper stop for the top rail and floor. It's also worth noting, I've never had any issue with the door falling off the track during operation.

When you have critters that come by in the night, build a gate I say. This gate is 8' wide by 4' tall. It's quite heavy yet with this tracks weight carrying ability, it was a simple task. The gate glides effortlessly! In fact, in a 20mph wind the gate opens fully to the back stop, lol. Currently it's secure by a bungee but will have an appropriate latch to match everything. I couldn't be more pleased with the form, function and look of this track assembly. Thank you for such a great item!

So far so good. Love the look and it seems very sturdy which is good because we hung a very heavy homemade door from it.
