Does it have active noise cancellation?

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your interest in our products! The SleepPhones® products were constructed to mask ambient noises. If you listen to music, you can camouflage outside sounds such as snoring or noisy neighbors. However, the product does not have any external equipment to eliminate noise. We market the product as noise masking rather than noise canceling as we believe it is important to hear sounds like a smoke alarm or baby monitor. Some of our customers listen to music to calm them which enables them to fall asleep faster, while masking background noise. Many customers also listen to music all throughout the night and find that it does help to distract from their partner's snoring. If you were to just wear the headband without listening to any music or tones, our product would not offer ambient sound reduction.

All the internal components are thinner than 2 US quarters stacked on top of each other and the speakers are covered in a soft felt, so they are perfect for back or side sleepers. Thank you for your interest in our products! They SleepPhones® Wireless does not come with preloaded sounds. It uses Bluetooth® technology to pair with another device such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Once paired to that device, any app, audiobook, podcast, or music you play will come through the speakers inside the headband.

Please note we do offer the preloaded SleepPhones® Simple. This product comes with 17 preloaded tracks and does not require a device such as a smartphone or tablet. You would be able to find this product on Amazon or our SleepPhones® website.
