## Description

Can you answer this question: Who is the Antichrist and what is the Apocalypse? The earliest Christians following the Twelve Apostles often spoke and wrote about the arrival of the Antichrist before the return of Jesus Christ at the end of time. Best-selling author and professor Dr. Taylor Marshall provides an easy to understand collection of Church Fathers, Saints, and Mystics as he pulls back the curtain on the end times prophecies of the Book of Revelation - the Book originally called The Apocalypse. In these exciting pages, you will discover: The meaning of Apocalypse and why Christ uses the term Apocalypse. The ten prophecies about the future Antichrist. The meaning of the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven plagues. The true meaning of Armageddon. How the Mark of the Beast and 666 relate to Old Testament prophecies. The identity of the Harlot of Babylon and the Beast. How the Book of Revelation/Apocalypse is the most hopeful book of the Bible.

Review: If the Bible were a museum, this would be the guided tour. - Indiana Jones, in the movie ‘The Last Crusade,’ encounters a point in his journey where the path becomes obscured and his way uncertain. He encounters the bridge of faith, invisible to the untrained eye. Yet, using knowledge and insight, guided by faith in wisdom, he successfully crosses a chasm where eyesight alone proves insufficient. Even so is St. Johns last book in the Bible; the words alone are insufficient without a deeper understanding. For many, Christian or not, trying to fathom the Apocalypse poses a challenge, as it is such a cryptic representation of a vision which is often, largely ‘invisible’ to most. Those passages, however fascinating, are more of a chasm than a bridge. And yet, even as did Dr. Jones in his quest for the Holy Grail finds a way across, without ignoring anything in the texts, Dr. Marshall uses his considerable acumen and logic to reveal a “bridge”, hidden from view for most readers, of that obscure Scripture which, nonetheless, fascinates so many over the centuries. Bristling with supportive footnotes and bibliography, which alone could provide a long summer’s reading list, this richly detailed exposition provides as much of a wealth of knowledge as it does, understanding. And for fans of linguistics and etymology, there is rich reward throughout: the benefit of Dr. Taylor Marshall’s wide mastery in the tongues of the Bible as written, both the Greek and Hebrew, enriched yet again with a mastery of Latin. And so, delving into the great history of the Jews and the Land gifted from God, we find in these pages, not a greater mystery, but a clearer understanding of what is essential as a closing chapter in the greatest (if reprintings are any indication of ‘greatness’) Book ever written: The Bible. A book, which overflows with messages and warnings, admonitions and loving praise, the Bible is sometimes misunderstood for its meaning and purpose. Even as pearls of great beauty can become a nuisance when strewn underfoot, artfully strung they can become a thing of beauty, enhancing the one fortunate to wear it. So too, Dr. Marshall gathers the beauties - the pearls- that fill the sacred Scriptures, though confusing to so many, and masterfully ‘strings’ them together into a cohesive, intelligible, and beautiful exposé of the vision of the end of time, given St John in his last years. In my opinion, this book should be a required compendium for anyone, who is intent on the fullest understanding of the Bible, lending a clarity which fills the reader with many “ah-HA!” moments, even reaching back in time, as the path through obscurity becomes plain, understandable, and mostly, enriching the reader with a hope and joy which is clearly Dr. Marshalls heart, and intent. Even if you are not driven by a spiritual calling to understand scripture, the enlightenment found between these covers is as rewarding as it is entertaining for those ‘entertained’ through the acquisition of knowledge from a renowned scholar, and educator for untold numbers of people, worldwide. After reading this book, I will never see biblical passages in quite the same way.
Review: Good price. - Well-made book.

Well-made book.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Destined Classic for Our Apocalyptic Times
*by A***N on September 19, 2022*

Bold and daring, honest and true, Taylor Marshall lays out the prophecies about the AntiChrist, his origins, the conditions to his arrival and telltale signs, duration of his reign and his ultimate defeat. Interweaving his adept Thomistic scholarship, Taylor keenly analyzes and comments upon the Old Testament and New Testament. Utilizing the writings from the Doctors of the Church, mystics, and prophets and other sources, Taylor enlightens and forewarns our generation and other generations to come about the current, imminent battle. I estimate that only a few Catholics have heard of some these prophets and mystics, and all odds are that most Christians and non-Christians have not heard these prophecies at all. Which is why, I believe this book is a gift to mankind as a clarion call to be prepared for what is to come, if not in our generation but the generations to follow. It is destined to be a classic like "End of the Present World and The Mysteries of the Future Life" by Fr. Charles Arminjon which deeply influenced the life of a future saint and Doctor of the Church, St. Therese of Lisieux. Some of the best takes from the book are summarized in the charts, diagrams and five appendices. The layout in the book makes it easier to comprehend and to visualize an otherwise very difficult subject matter. There are so many incredible Eureka moments that illuminated my understanding because of such summaries (The AntiChrist Summarized, 7 Churches as Old Testament History, Old Testament epochs, Great Tribulation, Ezechiel's Vision and John's Apocalypse, etc). The appendices itself are worth buying the book. Just read three tantalizing titles which peaked my curiosity: Appendix 1: Timeline of Future Events, (Who wouldn't want to know that!); Appendix 2: The Minor Chastisement, (Chastisement? What is that and who will be chastised?); Appendix 3: Death of the AntiChrist in Tradition. Among the many incredible chapters in the book, in my opinion, the best section of the book is the Epilogue: Choose between Christ and Antichrist. Why? (It's not because it is the end of the book!) It is because it is here that Taylor audaciously and courageously proclaims his innermost convictions with imperatives that led to his own conversion and to be the hero he is to me and countless others. Reading this alone would make a person who truly loves Jesus Christ, Our Lord desire to see Jesus the Groom and His Bride the Church be victorious over Satan and his minions so that the Our Father Prayer will be accomplished: "Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven." Amen!
