Earth's Mightiest Heroes join forces with the Fantastic Four & the Skrull rebels against Thanos's granddaughter & the Beyonder.
The Skrulls have been the enemies of the Avengers & the Fantastic Four since they debuted in "Fantastic Four #2". But in this follow-up to the epic "Absolute Vision", the Skrulls became allies against a space pirate known as Nebula. It begins with "Avengers #255" where Vision step down as chairman and him & Scarlet Witch leave the Avengers to report to Washington. Meanwhile, Captain Marvel encounters Thanos's spaceship where she was sent to investigate. Then in #256 & 257, Wasp became chairwoman again as the Avengers heads to the Savage Land where they battle Terminus while Captain Marvel encounters Nebula. Then in #258, the Avengers took Firelord into their mansion after Spider-Man took him down. In #259 & 260, the Avengers reunites with Captain Marvel and join forces with the Skrull rebels to stop Nebula. During the battle, Starbox discovers that Nebula is Thanos's granddaughter and encounter the Beyonder. In "Avengers Annual #14" & "Fantastic Four Annual #19", the Avengers & the Fantastic Four help the Skrull rebels battle the Skrulls. The story concludes in #261 where Starfox leave the Avengers to pursue Nebula while the Avengers takes on the Beyonder. This is a must-have collection for all die hard Avengers fans.

From the Jungle to space and beyond.
Another great graphic novel. With a great avenger team. The Wasp- The teams great leader.Captain America- the greatest Avenger of them all.Captain Marvel- Beautiful and Powerful.Starfox- alien adventure and Casanova.Hercules- Prince of powerThe Black Knight- crusading knight and scientist. This book had everything jungles with Dinosaurs and shape-changing aliens. Guest stars Vision and the Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man, Spider-Man, Kazar and his wife, Firelord, and a crossover event with the Fantastic Four. This storyline had Starfox leaving the team and the Black Knight going from a part time Avenger to a full time one. The only part I didn’t like was the Secret War tie-in. Great book and I can hardly wait to read more. Thank you Marvel.

Thanos' legacy is DEATH!
Roger Stern's Avengers run continues as the Avengers find themselves mixing it up with Thanos' granddaughter, Nebula, space pirates, Skrulls, and The Fantastic Four. Great art by John Buscema, Top Palmer, John Byrne, Kyle Baker, and Joe Sinnott make this book a must read. There's also a big status quo change for the Skrulls. The Avengers annual and Fantastic Four annual included in this volume did a great job of telling the same story, one from the Avengers POV and the other from the FF's POV, including several pages that are the same once they meet. It's a grand experiment that really works well here.

Finally bringing together all of Roger Stern's Avengers run, the team engage in a great cosmic battle to show their best
With this collection, pretty much all of Roger Stern’s fantastic “Avengers” run is now out in trade paperback for fans to enjoy. This pick up from the “Absolute Vision” arcs as the Vision and Scarlet Witch leave the team, Hercules rejoins and Wasp becomes chairwoman again. The team face problems with the government threatening to revoke their standing after the Vision’s actions but ignore it to face off against the monstrous Terminus in an attack that ravages the Savage Land. Then, a crossover with Stern’s own “Amazing Spider-Man” as after Spidey’s great fight with Firelord, Hercules forces his cosmic ally to make up for the damage he caused. During this, a subplot has had Captain Marvel in space, dragged into a job by a team of mercenaries led by Thanos’ granddaughter, Nebula. The Avengers go to help her and soon discover that, after the destruction of their home world by Galactus, the Skrulls are in civil war and have to pick a side to help them out. This leads into a fun two-part crossover with the Fantastic Four annuals, both drawn by John Byrne that link up wonderfully well. The big finale has a conflict with Nebula that also involves the arrival of the Beyonder for some “Secret War II” crossover.Aided by John Buscema’s terrific art, Stern does wonders with the team. Starfox has to face his dark side with the revelation of his relation to Thanos as he tangles with Nebula and the battle with Terminus is a harrowing affair with the destruction (for a time) of the Savage Land. The Skrull section is fun, notably when they meet up with some Skrulls who have based their planet on 1940’s Earth, their leader a dead ringer for Humphrey Bogart in “Casablanca.” The crossover with the FF is terrific work by Byrne, each annual using the same art for some sections and it makes wonderful sense read back to back. And you get the conflicts with the government as the Avengers have to face the problems of doing their job properly. While the Beyonder bits are an intrusion, it works for a good finale that reminds you why Stern’s run is still so popular as one of the best ever and the Avengers at their finest.

Very good storyline and lots of well-developed action
Very good storyline and lots of well-developed action. This arc keeps suspense and develops at a good pace. The only negative thing I'd say is that due to the "Secret Wars II" crossover, the story ends in an abrupt way.
