Flavor: Lemongrass & Clove Technically, I shouldn't like this lip balm, since there are a number of things about it that I don't normally like. However, they somehow all work in this product, and it's quickly become my favorite. First, I should mention that I have severely dry lips (the type found with Fibromyalgia, Sjogren's, and other dryness conditions) and sensitive, rash-prone skin. Most lip balms are too hard for me, and they tear at my lips and/or irritate the skin around them. In contrast, this one is nice and soft. It does have little bits of harder material in it, which I normally despise in balms. In this case, though, those little bits provide a great exfoliating/scrub effect before melting together and moisturizing the freshly-scrubbed lips. The result is perfect. The balm has a strong flavor/scent combination, which is something else that I don't normally like. Again, this product is the exception to that rule. I absolutely love the lemon/citrus flavor, and the scent is soothing and pleasant. Finally, when my lips are particularly dry, this product stings/burns when I apply it. That is something I DEFINITELY don't like in general, but in this case...you guessed it. I love the way it feels. It's like it's knitting the lips back together, healing and protecting them and leaving them tingling in a lovely manner. Ultimately, I recommend that you try this lip balm, even if you see phrases in the reviews that you normally don't like. Maybe it will prove to be as big an exception for you as it's been for me. Personally, I just bought a pack of five tubes so I can keep one in every part of the house. That's how much I like it.

A completely new experience in lip balm! Not only is the container biodegradable (versus the plastic ones we've all used for years) but it has a new texture. At first it feels odd on the lips, there's a texture of sugar or salt in the mix (not the flavor, zero flavor). But this unusual texture melts within a minute to blend into a very pleasant moisturizer. It's my new favorite. And most importantly it's Vegan.

I’ve been applying it pretty religiously 3+ times per day and the first tube lasted about 3 months. 2 reasons I didn’t give this a 5: 1 - When I got near the end of my first tube, the whole thing popped out and landed on the floor. It takes some finesse to get to the bottom without loosing it. 2 - it doesn’t moisturize quite as much as I’d like. But it’s much better than beeswax based lip balms (for me). My perfect lip balm helps retain moisture a bit more. I’m still on the hunt for something that’s more like a “lip mask”, but all the ones I can find use ingredients I’m not ok using.

I wanted this lip balm so bad I thought it’d be perfect, it’s not. Upon applying it was so grainy on my lips. It feels more like a lip scrub than balm. I don’t know if I got a bad batch. I wouldn’t purchase again.

So, the scent is pretty nice, and I love the eco paper packaging. It feels nice on my lips, or at least it did when I first unsealed the tube. Then I let it sit for a couple weeks, and put it on again, and it was like grains of sand were in it, mixed in with the smoothness. I noticed at least one other reviewer mentioned the graininess thing happening with their tube, also. (I bought the strawberry & vanilla. Don't know which they bought.) I was going to finish out the tubes anyway, but I've also noticed a weird irritated & itchy feeling in the back of my throat when I put this on my lips. I've had other brands of lip balm give me this feeling before, but I've had a hard time figuring out which ingredient is bothering my system. Unfortunately, due to the (allergic?) irritation, I'm going to have to return this product & get my money back.

I have extremely sensitive lips, and this lip balm works great. It keeps my lips moisturized for a long period of time. The application is easy. You just push up from the bottom of the tube to increase the length of the lip balm. There is no taste and smell is pleasing and mild. The quality is excellent. I really like the natural ingredients. My only complaint would be that the cardboard of the applicatorbegins to fray a bit and makes the lid somewhat difficult to put on. I do love that the applicator is paper instead of plastic. It is a really nice size as well.

The search for a suitable replacement for Aveeno essentials lip balm, continues!! It's been a while! Usually I purchase different brand trying to find sumthin like the Aveeno, ALL without success! J&L Naturals gave me hope, just enough to disappoint! After you get over the "grainy" feeling, it does seem to soften my usually dry lips, but it has to be applied with finger because of the grainy feeling is not tolerated by my ol'lips plus it doesn't seem to last after application. If J&L eliminate the grains, maybe in the future, but now my search continues!!

Love the smell, feels so nice on. Excellent product!
