I was not informed about these grips when I first bought it! I was told to buy bicycle gloves to use on my push rims. But then I'd have to take them off to use the bathroom, wash dishes, etc. Because the rims are thin to grasp and slippery, I ended up pushing on the wheels themselves, which are dirty. Then I saw these online. They not only provide wonderful gripping for pushing, they provide protection for the walls and doorways. I no longer have silver marks everywhere.I have also used vinyl rim guards but they last only a couple years before they get loose and stretchy.
