A fun book for daddy and daughter
Jabberwocky is one of my husband's favorite poems so when I ran across this book on Amazon I had to buy it for him and my 12 month old daughter for Christmas. They both love it. My husband reads a book to my daughter every night before bed and this one has been a frequent favorite. It is not the entire Jabberwocky poem but I think the most fun parts are included. It has great illustrations that I think really fit the poem well. The book itself is a very sturdy board book and is a good size for either small child or large adult hands. My daughter really loves the colorful illustrations and the silly words and my husband enjoys doing very dramatic readings of his favorite poem and sharing it with his daughter.

Baby lit books are our all time favorite books! They are small books
Baby lit books are our all time favorite books! They are small books, but that does not underestimate the goodness inside. We have ordered just about all of the baby lit books and love to swap them out during seasons and holidays. I also love that they have different primers and different types of learning for your little one. These books are great gift ideas, there are a lot of genres to choose from. The artwork and colors are bright and vivid, very pleasant to look at. The mommy and the teacher in me loves and approves these books!

Introduce literature early
Who cares if there is no such thing as a "vorpal blade"? Let your toddler learn the nonsense. I had to memorize this poem in high school. I think of it often (and am tempted to use these words from time to time). The pictures are bright and beautiful - much more whimsical than the scene that is actually portrayed. And since it's just a short poem, the board book version is not as watered down as many of the literature stories tend to be. Have a frabjous day!!

Not my favorite of Babylit books, but still cute
I was so excited about this particular title and overall love the Babylit line of books. As others have reviewed, there isn't a storyline to follow, but key words and pictures that familiarize children with classics. I think it's a brilliant idea and love this book. I gave it four stars because it's just not my favorite of the Babylit books--the text is cute for the most part, but my daughter just kind of looks up at me confused every time I read it. It's probably the point of the original poem full of nonsense words, but is just odd to a toddler.

A delight to read to my newborn little lady.
I gave the BabyLit Jabberwocky Baby Book 5 stars. The author Jennifer Adams uses the story Jabberwocky (from "The Looking Glass") as a short for babies. It's a delightful book to read to my little one. The artwork and vibrant colors by Alison Oliver are phenomenal. I truly recommend mommy's buy this book (and the series) for their babies. I truly enjoyed reading this book to her. Hope they add more to the kindle format.

Baby approved!
Jabberwocky is my favorite poem. Sure this book doesn’t have all the lines, but do you really want lines like “he left it dead and with its head he went...” in a baby’s book? The illustrations are amazing. This is one of my 4 month old’s favorite books. She gets really excited when I bring it out.

Ok but nothing like the original
I was read the Jabberwocky as a child and while this is cute, it skips parts of the story that make the story in my opinion. It’s not a bad book just not really worth the price in my opinion. I will say I kept the book to try and see how much we would reach for it but we honestly reach for the full story more than this.

This has become one of my (18 mo) daughter's all-time favorite books. Sometimes I just recite it to her when she gets fussy in the car; it has an almost hypnotizing effect. I look forward to sharing the full poem with her one day and I hope that she develops a deep appreciation for language and the enjoyment of playing with it. Thank you, Jennifer Adams, for bringing this poem to life for little ones. Well done!
