Most people know how important protein is for maintaining and building muscle mass, and further we know that whey protein powder is one of the easiest ways to incorporate protein into your daily macros. So how does this brand stack up against the rest? Pretty well, in my opinion. It's not as well-known as some of the more popular brands, but it stacks up well. Fairly low calories - 120-130 per serving, which compares pretty well with the competition. It weighs in at over 5 lbs, with 70 servings, so that is a plus -- fairly in line with competing prices, maybe a little less cost per serving. Protein is 24 grams, again fairly standard. Taste is pretty good for me; I normally go vanilla over chocolate, as a lot of chocolate protein powder can be hit-or-miss for me, but I'm totally fine with this taste. I don't see any problem with using the entire container. It does have just a touch of sugar -- 2g per serving, not bad but if you're looking for sugar free its something to take note of. Also, I'm not sure if the whey is hydrolyzed, (makes sense for this price-point) but I haven't run into any gastrointestinal issues as of yet. Honestly, I took the chance on this powder because there was a subscribe-and-save offer on it, but I'm glad I did. All things considered, I'll probably pick some more up in the future when I run out of this container. If you're looking for a decent protein powder, you could do "whey" worse than Cellucor.

This is a great whey protein. Tastes amazing. Mixes easily. I usually carry two scoops dry in my blender to the gym. Mix it with just water and drink right after my workout. It is quite filling and gives me a good immediate boost of energy. With eating the right amount of food afterwards, this keeps me from getting too hungry during the day. When I drink this at home, I mix it with half water and half milk. It tastes even better and even more filling. It also has good shelf life. Sometimes I buy one extra if I find it on sale.

Things I like about this and the reason I'll keep using Cellucor Whey: 1) Tastes really good with cold water. I'll pour in 3 scoops (36 g protein) into a blender bottle, take it with me to the gym, and fill it up with water immediately after working out (instead of waiting to get home). 2) Each scoop size is 1/2 the recommended portion, so two scoops will get you the 24g protein serving size. I actually like that the scoop sizes are smaller so that I take 1.5 servings (36 g protein), and I don't have to bust out the food scale to do so. 3) I really like the ingredients, and am seeing good gains. 4) I've used this protein with overnight oats - it mixes well and tastes really really good. Remember, make sure you're eating enough to see gains! This won't be the be all end all solution to getting big, but a good part of getting the necessary protein you need daily.

The product has a good taste to it and feels effective. Scoop was hard to get to,but most canisters are the same way. The only real issue was mixing it, it seemed to not want to mix not matter what I tried. I tried my shaker, a mixer, even a regular plastic water bottle and shook, but it would never mix all the way, mostly, but never all the way. Overall good through and I would recommend.

Tried a 2lb first. It mixed better than Body Fortress. The taste at first was not as good, but still great. As I continued to use it, the taste grew on me and I look forward to my evening protein shake before bed for overnight recovery. I wake up fresh and with little aches if any, though I push myself hard running. I have since bought the 5 lb package. It mixes well, though it clumps a bit with stirring. I highly recommend it as a basic protein shake, no frills, but very trustworthy. It is my go-to.

I don’t understand. If you follow the instructions you have too little liquid. If you put 16oz which is usually what I do it doesn’t mix correctly and clumps together forming little protein powder balls. If you mix it with water it’s horrendous and if you make it too hot with something to try and get it to dissolve or mix together it foams up and cooks like a brownie so if I could get some help or something. I might be doin it wrong but until then I’m giving it this rating.

I have tried several protein powders for my morning smoothie. Not committed to one brand. Usually buy by price, protein grams and % cholesterol, hoping the flavor is adequate. This brand checked all the boxes. Good flavor, easy blending, lower cholesterol, and good price point. Not the highest protein content of all the brands, but certainly sufficient. Would purchase again.

Edit- i learned to use a shaker instead of stirring in a cup with a spoon. This mixed up nearly instantly with no clumps. I have been doing it wrong all along. Although I bet I got mad gains from the ~10 mins spent stirring every day. It’s not the worst tasting protein but it does not mix well for me. Stays very clumpy at the top of the cup compared to other protein powders I’ve used. I’ll reluctantly use the rest of the container but I’ll be staying away from this one in the future.

Good quality whey protein, great mixable and super taste. Will buy this again, after getting questionable quality on my earlier order of ON Gold Standard Whey earlier.
