It's tight. The bottle is just under 3" diameter. **Q: Does the lid create an air tight seal?** A: I use this for about a week now. So far the lid completely seal the bottle. No water seepage and looks like air tight as well. **Q: Can it be personalized?** A: Just buy some vinyl decals to personalize. **Q: "Not intended for use with hot beverages" means you should not (moronically) try to drink from it, right? It's safe for use as a thermos?** A: This is incorrect information. As per Yeti’s own FAQ page, you absolutely CAN use the Chug Cap with hot beverages.
