Sizzling chemistry
I loved this book so much! Adam and Lucy were perfect together! I loved Lucy and her sense of humor. That one twist had my jaw touching the floor, but all turned out well!

Hard to rate
This is the second book in the Love & Hate duet. When I read the first book (about Jason & Olive), my expectations skyrocketed for Lucy's story. She was such a complex character with some family issues that led her to lose her faith in love but when she finally tries to be in a relationship by giving her ex a chance, he somehow ends up breaking her heart which pushes her to be more closed off. Since her ex moved away, she needed a place to stay and her bestfriend Olive offers her to stay with her and her Hollywood heartthrob of a husband- Jason Thorn. The dynamics between Olive, Jason & Lucy were so funny. Lucy was basically like a kid these two were fostering and they even joked about it. Adam was a great single dad. He got divorced from a marriage of six years with his ex-wife and shares the custody of their son, Aiden with her. The amount of OW/OM drama was less than what I was expecting. It was like both Lucy & Adam's exes did not matter as they appeared very few times throughout the book. The hate to love part was written very well. Lucy & Adam's chemistry was real hot and intense and Adam's dirty talk made me feel giddy inside lol! I really like the part in these single parent books where the main characters bonds with the love interest's child which is why I adored Lucy & Aiden's antics, they were too cute together. Overall, the plot wasn't solid but it wasn't boring either which makes it hard for me to rate the book. I feel like some things in Adam's past should have been elaborated on more due to which the ending felt abrupt but the epilogue really lifted my mood. I didn't love it as much as To Love Jason Thorn but it was enjoyable regardless.

And it left me smiling and smiling and smiling
Adam and Lucy are sigh...the most heartwarming couple you'll ever read as their argue their way to each other's heart. The way she landed into his house was accidentally amazing but the aftermath of him embracing her in his heart is the swoonworthy part. They are both damaged in some ways and one has gone to extent of thinking she is cursed but love of a hotshot actor and a perfect little human are the only cure to that curse I suppose. Loved the book! Loved spending every minute reading it! If bliss exists then this is it for me.

Almost DNF. Should've mentioned the TW's.
Overall, the book is good. In a Wattpad kind of way. I absolutely adored Aiden and his relationship with Adam. I only liked Lucy when she was with either Olive or Aiden. Cuz quite frankly, she's immature and extremely childish. I found it really hard to justify her thoughts on her supposed curse. For more than 90% of the book, she's not ready to admit her feelings for Adam. Even when she agrees to date him, she goes on about how it's all okay if they ever broke up. Like woman, know what you're doing. I liked Adam. I genuinely was looking forward to more fluff scenes of him and lucy. But that didn't happen. Also the smut, I'd rate it 3 at best. I really loved the book 'To love Jason Thorn' nd i looked forward to Lucy's story as her character in that book was portrayed really well. Also, i felt like the author just thrusted the sexual assault there just for the drama. It was so easily brushed aside as if it never happened. Then the thing with Aiden's possible kidnapping, i feel like all these things should've been there in the TW. I didn't like the ending. I absolutely hated it infact. It felt utterly rushed nd not upto my expectations. The OM/OW drama wasn't there, as their exes had really short screen time. I think the author wanted it to be a good, fluffy, sweet romance read but with all that's going on in there, it should've had angst added to the tropes too. You can read it if you like a really slow-burn romance but not the exact slow-burn, more like in the form of feelings. I hope that makes sense. Tho i wouldn't personally recommend this to anyone.
