I got this after getting into perfect position for video of a tornadic thunderstorm, only to have it ruined by camera shake. While I haven't replicated that exact situation yet, I've used it in other situations where it could prove particularly useful. And each time, I've ended up saying "#&*^ it" and just doing my best to keep the phone stable on my own. Here's why: 1) The UI is terrible. While this gimbal is feature-packed, knowing which button to press and which menu option to use is time-consuming and unintuitive. It would be helpful if the controls were app-focused, but the app is also lacking. 2) I can't speak for other iPhone models, but good luck getting non-mirrored video with your selfie camera if you are on a 15 Pro. The controls to make that happen simply do not work. Sure, you can flip the video after the fact. That's no help whatsoever if you're streaming. And DJI knows full well about this issue, but nothing's been done to fix it. 3) Lack of mounting options. Even though the overwhelming majority of people in the market for phone gimbals are on late-model iPhones, the OM6 doesn't come with a MagSafe mount, nor does DJI make one; the only one currently available is third-party. There's a spring-loaded bracket mount, and that's it. In all fairness, it is pretty accommodating, so you're not SOL if your phone has a large screen or a thick case. But it's still prone to the usual issues that come with such mounts, and for most people, MagSafe would be a better option. 4) Subject tracking could use some work. I found this out when I tested the OM6 at a minor league baseball game where we sat directly behind home plate. It was very difficult to get the tracking to focus on the batters instead of the holes in the net that protected us from foul balls. And if it's that much of a struggle from such short range in a relatively slow sport, it's going to be worse for other sports.

And the panning speed was way too fast for my liking. (I prefer slower panning movements.) Again, YouTube tutorials came to the rescue, as I learned that you could change the joystick direction and speed in settings. -In my opinion, this gadget has a learning curve, but after playing with it a few times, handling it becomes second nature. Now let’s move onto the features I absolutely love about the DJ Osmo 6: -Smoother/Steadier Filming (especially while walking, or during movement shots) -Active Track: I’m obsessed with this feature. As someone who often shoots videos alone, this feature is a lifesaver. It tracks and follows you quite accurately, and if I temporarily get too far out of its detection range, it quickly finds me again right when I am back in its radar. -Compatible w/ standard tripods: You can screw the gimbal onto any standard tripod. It already comes with a leg attachment and (a “selfie stick” extension) which allows you to stand it up on the a table or on the floor. But if you're out in nature and want to shoot at eye level, the fact that it connects to a tripod is game-changing. It makes you so self reliant as a content creator. Gone are the days when I would have to beg family members to take my pictures or videos. -Gesture Control: This is another winning feature for me. By simply raising my hand and doing a peace sign, the gimbal initiates recording or photo capture. By raising my hand and giving a stop sign, it will stop. It is very convenient as I no longer have to press record and then run to the frame. -Battery Life: I’m usually out for 3-4 hours when shooting content, and its battery life is more than enough for my needs. In just two weeks of using the DJ OSMO 6 gimbal, I can confidently say that it has been worth every penny. It is now an essential tool that I cannot live without in my content creator journey. Con il porta cellulare in dotazione si aggancia in un attimo, 2 secondi di calibrazione ed il gioco è fatto!! Inizia la magia. Dopo le prime due ore in cui ci ho un po’ smanettato, ho scoperto un mondo che ti rende felice di produrre video. Le sue varie funzionalità presenti tutte nella sua applicazione ti consentono di produrre video professionali con un semplice iPhone. La stabilizzazione è perfetta. Suite à mon petit test franchement pour 150€ ça vaut largement le coup pour la stabilité de la vidéo et photos sous des angles pas faciles du genre quand vous êtes en montagnes, des mouvements très homogènes ce qui offre une qualité bien meilleure c’est le top pour mes futurs voyages et il vous propose une autre app pour les montages qui est très complète et gratuite... c'est un must have
