These are exactly what I needed and I never knew these existed! I have some oversized cotton jersey bandanas that I like to wear around snug my neck but with the triangle portion facing downwards in the front (not rolled up like some would wear as a headband). The problem is that these bandanas are thicker than usual and tying them in a knot leaves a very uncomfortable bulge pushing into the back of my neck when I wear a coat. I was initially using decorative pins or safety pins but I didn't like the holes they were putting in the fabric. I stumble onto these magnets while searching for "scarf clips". These magnets are strong since they're earth magnets. The 6 pack I got are all silver as I read the review on the colored ones were pretty bad quality. These silver ones are well made and strong. The rings look like super size jump rings and the closing on the rings are lined up well. The concept with using them is really easy as it comes with instructions. The only thing to keep in mind is that these may be difficult for someone to handle if your hands are arthritic or if you generally have difficulties with shirts that have small sized buttons as these magnets are comparable to that as far handling. They are 3 components to the magnet so if your fingers are nimble with handling smallish object then these will be ok for you. I really love these cause now I don't feel that uncomfortable bulge of fabric on my neck anymore.
