The set of struts come with ball screws. I didn't refer to any instructions prior to attempting installation... it appeared to me that because I had replacement ball screws attached to the struts that I should "simply" unscrew the old strut's screws and screw the new ball screws and struts into place. I found that the existing ball screws were pretty much impossible to unscrew from the car with a crescent wrench. I then watched a Youtube video about this replacement that pretty much stated the same instructions that this Amazon seller provides - which is to unclip the ball retaining clips from the old struts and simply re-use the balls on the new struts. This was much less stressful to me than attempting to unseat old screws that I would probably mar or strip out. Anyway, both struts took about 5 minutes each to replace when I understood what was going on. And these new struts are perfect - when I lift the hood about 2 feet up and let go, the new struts carry it up to the fully open position. A quick, easy fix for an old car nuisance issue.

i put 1 in and it failed(fell down slowly)...put 2 in ....went up in a second quickly upwards..................disconnected the 1 st one and the second held the hood up by itself :o .........(1 was stronger then the other :o )

The installation was made real easy with the hardware supplied to each strut. The joints were disassembled for installation with the assistance of a hood prop rod. Works great! Thank you.
