Never climb without it!
Yeah, I used to cheat with ladders leaning this way and that. This easy to add accessory makes that totally unnecessary. My ladder is now level all the way around the house. Never climb without it.

Safety Issue due to improper fabrication
Do not buy these! I purchased a pair of these(different brand) last year and they’re no longer on Amazon..so I bought these thinking they would be reasonably similar, as they are designed the same, I was wrong. I tried to use the ladder I put them on and one side would not catch and hold! I started looking at the product and noticed the tension springs are different lengths. The side that’s slipping is due to the short spring. Major safety issue. Will be returning.

I gifted these to My husband, and loves them
My husband is remodeling our basement and the staircase leading to it. The staircase has a very high 18 foot ceiling. and these are great for reaching those high areas of the wall and ceiling in that staircase. They will also come in handy for working on the outside of the house ( Cleaning, gutters, changing, lightbulbs, etc.), on uneven outdoor terrain. A great find. You may have to drill a hole in your ladder for assembly, but although they are light weight, I like that unlike some versions, they don’t take up a lot of space when not in use, and that they are well made and sturdy, So I don’t have to worry so much about my husband’s safety (well, try to overreach) when he’s working up high. I feel that they work well, and they are a great value for the money.

The extensions are great, the kit...
These levelers are very nice, solid, and confidence-inspiring after they're installed. The 2 washers per bolt are barely sufficient to allow for the depth of the protruding rung on my ladder, but that's a small thing. Worse: the bolts are very long, and the lock nuts were a pain to torque down over such a long thread. I realize one size can't fit all, but it would be good if the supplied instructions / product description told us the bolt and thread size (I don't know even now) so we could run out and buy something more suitable than these long, long bolts. Attaching these to my ladder was nothing a chop saw, a drill press, some aluminum stock, a ratchet wrench, and the supplied spanner couldn't handle. Just be ready for a small project when it's time to install them,

Excellent Product Provided Security on my Ladder
I have a split level house and hanging my Christmas lights on the gutters is never easy. These easily installed levelers made my job much easier this year. they never slipped and kept my extension ladder secure.

Junk, slides under own weight.
Slides under its own weight, worthless and now I have holes in my ladder. The main spring seems to be under-powered and the knurling on the sides of the levelers is too smooth for them to grip properly. Lift the ladder up...levelers drop all the way down. Put weight on the ladder...and they inconsistently grip. I cannot trust these when I'm 28 feet up. Installation was OK, one washer was missing, but I was able to find a extra in my junk drawer. Bolts are much longer than they need to be, but better that than too short I guess.

One of the legs did not lock. I was not comfortable risking my life to save a couple bucks on ladder legs.

When used as described, lower leg extends too short of the lower step....if bar was 12" longer, it could actually be used universally on ladders
