Excellent Oven
We love this oven. It has multiple modes for baking, roasting, air frying and convection modes etc. heats quickly and evenly. Love the overall functionality and ease of use. We never use our stovetop oven any longer except on the big holidays.

Great oven - We Agree with America's Test Kitchen recommendations
We like this much better than the Ninja air fryer/convection oven that we had. (Ninja main control dial broke early.) This Breville let's you cook larger (taller) items, though has the same counter dimensions as the Ninja. Overall it works well for the usual needs - toasting, bagels, baking smaller items (e.g. game hen but not big chicken), air frying and broiling. The digital display and controls are well designed and fairly intuitive, if you remember the extra control buttons on the front (convection, thaw and light). We've used the "frozen" mode a couple times and it seems to simplify cooking something straight from the freezer. The provided racks and pan work nicely and clean up well and with minimal effort. The stainless steel looks good on our light counters and fits our other appliances (if that's important to you). Other little things: I like that the crumb tray is easy to remove and clean, the glass cleans easily and the interior light is brighter than our Ninja was. We use our propane oven much less because this works so well, which is better for our breathing (carbon monoxide and NoX fumes).

Fine Craftsmanship Throughout
I was planning to buy a small, inexpensive replacement for my 20 year old, 2 rack Oster which finally bit the dust. After spending way too much time researching, it dawned upon me that since I use this every day, why not upgrade to bigger and better and so I did. This countertop oven is awesome. Wish I had done this long ago. Now for some details. The dimensions listed for the product are not accurate. I measured and found 13" D x 18.5" W x 10.5" H to be the actual size. Nonetheless, this product is ideal in so many ways and full of nice features. My old toaster oven had 2 rack positions and this one has 3 which is nice. When you open the door with the rack inside, the rack pops out with the rack guide which is very nice. It has a three plug outlet cord to run the 1800 watts and so far no issues with the kitchen circuit. The preheat time is fast and sweet. This model comes in a very nice blue and has 10 function controls, which is plenty. This Damson Blue Smart Oven is what I consider a mid range size in that it has three rack positions compared to many small toaster ovens which have two and the larger ovens have four. This unit is an upgrade in size from my older toaster oven and that is exactly what I wanted for the long haul. You can use parchment paper for most everything, which is so much better environmentally. Say goodbye to all the foil usage. While the manual does say to not line the crumb tray with foil, you can use foil to wrap your food if needed. A note about "Convection" and "Air Fryer" is also important since many brands now tout this in their marketing materials. In my research, what I learned is that these two terms simply mean, it has a fan. The fan is used to disperse heat evenly throughout the small chamber. This unit does come with a good sized air fryer basket but I have not tried it yet. The controls are very easy and simple to use and are of very good quality. Other than all of the features and size, I chose this model and brand based upon how high the Breville brand rates on most top ten lists. In my view, this is a great value and highly recommended for the cost.

Excellent build quality and cooks great
Fantastic oven air fryer it is very easy to use the knobs and display are well built. The style is very nice also. The oven cooks very well and I use it almost every day. I bought this as an upgrade to a smaller air fryer and I like the larger capacity of this one. It has a nice pre heating function and a wide variety of other cooking options although I have not tried them all. Keeping it clean is a problem as the grease builds up quickly especially if you use it frequently.

I love my Breville!
I purchased this November 2024 and it’s still going strong. This is my second one; the first one lasted a little over seven years. I’m not kidding that I use my actual oven about twice a year because there’s nothing this Breville can’t do. I have made everything from roasts that came out beautifully to cookies to dehydrated turkey jerky for my dog. It does have an air fry function, but I use my ninja mostly for air frying. I purchased a silicone mat for the bottom which makes cleaning a breeze. It does take a bit of counter space so make sure you measure to accommodate. The digital panel is very easy to use, but the digital panel is the reason I’m knocking a star off. I don’t know why people think it makes sense to put a digital panel near heat. That’s what ultimately rendered my last Breville useless. The digital panel ultimately fried out and I’m worried this one will too, but as I said, I got seven years out the last one. Had the digital panel not gone batty I would still have it. That said, every manufacturer that’s building a solid, durable, impressive oven is using digital panels. Even my stove/oven has digital and after six years, I can barely see the readings anymore it has faded so much. I use this no less than 4x times a week, so I put an oven to the test and Breville is so impressive that I will be a customer for a long time. You get what you pay for, and this is no exception in that it’s not the cheapest oven you’ll find, but you get quality cooking of many kinds in spades. You won’t get that from a $50 oven. Like I said, I use my big stove maybe 2x times a year because there’s nothing in this Breville can’t do. I am constantly recommending them.

5 Star But Mixed Feelings
This is my second Breville oven (1st one still works). Their ovens are really solid products and they work very well. I’m just not convinced of the premium price tag. The build quality seems no better or worse than other premium ovens that cost less. Also, I’ve used several other brands over the years and I can’t say that the Breville does a substantially better job baking, toasting, or air frying than the others. In the end I bought it for two reasons. First, Breville has a reputation for consistently good ovens. You know exactly what you’re getting when you buy one. Second, they make beautiful looking products and aesthetics are high on my list. My first Breville oven is 5 years old and still works perfect. It’s their smallest model and I simply wanted something bigger. The new BOV860 has been in operation for a couple weeks and I love it. I’m just not completely convinced they’re worth the premium price.

Worth the extra expense
I’ve had this oven for 9 months. I’ve to find a flaw that makes me crazy. Sometimes there’s a setting or a part of a countertop appliance that can be frustrating. This has none. The controls are intuitive and easy to set. The racks, baking pan and fryer basket clean up nicely There’s a smaller baking rack that fits in the baking pan which makes it great for chicken or fish. The browning on vegetables and meats is like a full size oven. I really like how the oven bottom has a tray that pulls out from the front. It’s good catching all the stuff. The oven is designed to be easy to clean. Most of all, I can use this for anything I’d use my oven for in addition to air frying. I rarely use my oven now. I can even bake a small can of biscuits in a pie plate. What it does for a frozen pizza is amazing. I cook small casseroles like enchiladas or a chicken thing in an 8” square pan. The Reheat function works great. And , oh yeah, it makes good toast! LOL!

Excellent Performance and Reliable
Excellent oven. I own one for each home. Simple and intuitive, with no tech or performance drama. Cooks well, runs quietly. The beeps can be loud, so it wouldn't be ideal in a small home with people sleeping. It'll wake them for sure.

Perfect counter-top Smart Oven
I've had this oven 10 days now and I know it's going to be invaluable!! Air Fryer cooked my drumsticks to perfection. Pizza function was awesome. A quiche was baked perfectly and reheated without the crust turning to mush! Our Thanksgiving dinner was reheated to the right temperature without drying it out. And .... it toasts perfectly! Easy to clean. Easy to follow settings. Highly recommend this Breville machine. Happy cooking!!

makes full sized oven mostly useless
Since buying the Breville, we hardly ever use our full sized oven, and have also retired our toaster. Heats way faster than a full sized oven, and cooks as well, or better

LOVE
Not my first Breville Smart Oven. Love it. I especially love the blue. Makes me smile every day. But sadly, the crumb tray is so difficult to keep clean. Crumbs are easy, but any oil or butter or drips and it stains so easily. I’m always scrubbing. There must be an easier coating they could put on.

Family size toaster oven
I am renovating my kitchen so needed something to get me by while we are in construction. This oven is amazing. Easy for my kids to use as well. Love that it’s family size and has so many different options. Happy I went with this Breville - highly recommend it

Best versatile with airfry
Bought this toaster oven with airfry partly because we had the previous model. Main reason is their toasting ability with a Bagel mode. Bagel mode is important for bagels, english muffins, pizza reheat, etc. Not only did they add Airfry but an enhanced convection mode. The added lighting is a great feature (light shines on the food, for example comes on 30sec before toast is done so you can see the brownness - very thoughtful by some designer) Overall a great unit - if you have previous model you’ll be amazed how quiet this one is in regular convection mode, almost can’t hear it; of course enhanced or airfry mode has the fan noise. For us best possible combination unit and was surprised at the increased quality and convenience features.
