Review: Bought to descale my kettle because we live in a hard water area. As well as being pretty economical, citric acid is great for this and works just as well as other products which are more chemically in nature. It really is just a matter of boiling half a kettle of water, adding the crystals and waiting for half an hour or so, then rinsing/boiling several times. Voila, a nice shiny kettle! The only issue I've had is that the crystals absorb even the slightest moisture from the atmosphere so that the box ends up unpleasant and damp, which is why I've deducted a star. This doesn't seem to affect the effectiveness of the citric acid at all. Next time I'll just put the whole box into a plastic storage container as soon as I receive it which should solve the problem. Definitely worth keeping a box in stock, I'll happily buy it again.

Bought to descale my kettle because we live in a hard water area.
