Much more positive - I believe on my MG TD 5 speed gearbox the brass collars were nylon originally or plastic and they had disintegrated.. It made the gear stick very floppy. This is definitely the correct way to improve your gear stick handling. My gearbox had a bolt and nut not the circlip method of attachment and it may cause the casting to pull in slightly and make the fitment of the brass collars very tight. I took a tad off with 800 grit on a piece of plate glass to allow them to fit snug. It took a fair bit of effort to get the nylon piece off the stick end and put the new one on. Then reassembly. Works great. Much more positive. Review: Way Better than Plastic Bushings. White End Piece Does Not Fit My Shifters - Good Quality. However, the white end piece was supposed to be ball and socket with the shifter and provides a way too big socket. Had to reuse my old piece. I have run a half dozen 240Zs over 35 years and know my shifter is standard, and the part is incorrect for 240Z and 280Z shifters.
