it's very sturdy, and beautiful. i only wished the truck driver had put it on the porch. i didn't see it on the porch step, stepped on the package, and nearly took a header on the sidewalk. i'm 82 and that could have been a very bad fall. the package was not damaged by me stepping on it.

Though not inexpensive, compared to either a $20 or cheaper toy-like train or a $200-$500 high end replica model this is a great choice if looking for a nice gift. The train is detailed, metal, high quality. it's very substantive in weight and detail. If you have a train lover in your family or friends circle, this is nice gift. Arrives packed well and in a nice box.
