A huge percentage of the people who'd used it advised future purchasers to buy a color that is lighter than the color they want because the resulting color on their hair would be much darker than it showed on the box. Based on those reviews, I bought a lighter brown than I wanted, believing that I would end up with dark brown hair. I ended up with hair that was precisely the same color as the box. I only mention that just in case other people had received the same advice I had. The reason I gave it 5 stars is that it's a far superior product compared to the many other brands I've tried in the past. It actually lightened my hair without bleach or any other harsh chemicals. It smelled wonderful. It completely covered ALL my gray, and the conditioner they give you to put on after you use it is some of the best I've ever used. I colored my hair about 3 or so weeks ago, and the color hasn't faded and there's no gray hair visible yet.
