What I had hoped is that it would have also had enough room for my Icom AH-705 auto tuner. There is enough room for some cables, my remote 8-button shortcut control, maybe one spare battery (the type like the one that comes with the radio).The padding could have been thicker, but it's probably adequate as long as you don't expect it to protect it from a drop to a hard floor or surface. For the price, it's OK. If you want heavy-duty protection, or more room (or both), you'll want to get a padded camera bag or some other protective case, like a Pelican or Eylar type case. The zipper feels like it will last. Nice and portable but can't fit much in it. Struggled to get the Xeigu X6100, my antenna (did use slightly thick wire), and a 9:1 unun all in the bag. Could not get coax to fit.
