These black and white transparent sheets are printer-compatible and serve as an excellent replacement for YUDU sheets, offering professional-grade quality for screen printing and photo emulsion applications. ## Description If you're not so great with mixing and applying liquid photo emulsion, photo emulsion sheets might be a quick and simple alternative. There is still a learning curve to using them as it's important to get the right amount of water on the sheet so that it's properly adhered to the screen and not so much that you have a pile of emulsion in one area. That being said it's much less a learning curve than getting that perfect layer of liquid emulsion down! Each sheet is 38 microns thick and exposure times will vary depending on your exposure unit. If you happen to have one of the, now retired, Yudu Machines the exposure time 'sweet spot' we found was about 14 minutes. Important notes: These sheets do have a shelf life: approximately 6 months when stored in cool DARK place. Photo Emulsion reacts with light! Keep away from light sources until ready to use! To use it, the sheet is laid on top of the screen and water is used to activate the emulsion and make it adhere; this needs to be done in a low light setting and the sheet protected until you're ready to expose it. **Q: Just clarifying: these are not the same as the ikon art stencil mesh? — i can’t immediately use my art on transparency film over these sheets?** A: No this is not related any kind of mesh product - this is literally a photo emulsion solution in fruit roll up form haha- you adhere it to your screen mesh and allow it to dry. Then if you print your artwork onto transparency film you can lay that on top of the photo emulsion prepared screen; the opaque (blacked out) portions of your design will be protected from the light when you expose the screen.
