I wanted to dye the ends of my hair to make it an ombre to purple instead of auburn and I did get dye on the black parts of my hair and it didn't add any kind of highlights to it which is fine. I knew it was going to make the lighter parts of my hair darker so that wasn't a surprise. The color wasn't a super bright or bold purple but I wasn't expecting it to be since my hair was dark when I dyed it. The color did come out exactly as I thought it would. It looked like a dark plum color indoors and looked like a nice bright red-violet in the sunlight. The conditioner that came with the dye was amazing. My hair was so brittle and dry from being bleached and the conditioner made it feel like it was never bleached. When I was dying my hair, I did get some dye on the sink and floor but I wiped it up once I was done with my hair and there were no stains.
