Concise. Thorough. Nurses, med students, anyone in healthcare. The book is a “pocket” style book; So if you can’t or don’t want to read fine print —don’t purchase. Don’t leave a low rated review because it’s small, or “a joke”. Know what you are getting, do your research… Almost every Amazon item has a dimensions section. The rings won’t last forever, I have not had any issue, thrown it in every bag I own, floorboard, locker, etc. I LOVE THE hole punched RINGS so I can take pages out & MAKE COPIES PRN. ENJOY. I can not say enough good things about this little book. In the critical care nursing arena this book is very well known. It has been used by critical care nurses since the early 80's. It is THE go to book of facts you must need to know. Easy to look up information your looking for, divided in sections by systems and medication information with drip titration tables, IVP rates, conversions like weight and temperature and so much more. I also bought the add on section of cardiovascular surgical recovery. This book is a bit pricey but worth a million dollars to have critical information at your finger tips when you need it fast. My ONLY con is: I wish the pages were a bit more sturdy. I've had to painstakingly place those little hole reinforcers on the chapters I use the most to prevent the pages from pulling out. The print is very small, but it was done this way to allow for it to Fit in your lab coat pocket. Every critical care nurse, new or seasoned, will benefit from this amazing book. It was worth every penny!!!

This is perfect for someone who hates reading, and likes to get the down and dirty on critical care info. Everything is organized, and fits well in the small binder, with easy to find labels. Facts are well-written, precise and easy to follow. I love it and intend to use it for the rest of my nursing career.
