It takes maybe 15 minutes of your time. I have been waking up in the mornings and reading with my morning cup of coffee and I have to say it is the most motivating thing I have ever experienced regarding weight loss. I have about 40 pounds to loose and I already know that this is going to keep me inspired and motivated to loose beyond my norm of 10 pounds or so. Someone referred to the book as being CHEESEY, well I have to disagree totally. Since I have started this book and the exercises, I have been gun-ho and I stay that way all day. I cannot say enough about it. Kudos to you Ms. Spangle because I am ready to help you promote this book in a big way...lol! As a matter of fact when I reach my goal over the next few months I am going to do a YOUTUBE video just for this book. Ms. Spangle if you EVER decide to include before and after pictures, or if you do another book and need people for testimonials, pls contact me as I KNOW that I am going to reach my goal with the help of your book! Thanks so much for this wonderful piece of work! I have already sent four people out to get this book TODAY...lol! Thanks so much! 100 lessons in "getting better"...
This is a book based upon another book - Life is Hard - Food is Easy and yet it also works as a stand alone because of the difference in lay out. Emotional eating is an issue we all "suffer" from - some of us more intensely than others. And having an "over eating" issue is much more transparent to others than say alcoholism or sniffing coke or sex addiction and there's not a lot of helpful information out there... As an expert in helping people lose weight, overcome addictions and a few other things - I love coming across a book as good as this one... Linda Spangle has chosen to share her knowledge in a way that is quite easy to understand - and hopefully to act upon. This is also a really helpful book and written in a way that is inspiring and a great starting point for beginning to tackle the issue of losing weight successfully... Because of the negativity involved - from others - from the media - from ourselves - especially ourselves - it becomes difficult to separate the negative messages from "reality"... Lesson 78 or rather Day 78 shares a simple and profound way of overcoming negative self talk. Jack Canfield, coauthor of the best seller Chicken Soup for the Soul teaches people to use the phrase: "No matter what you say or do to me, I am still a worthwhile person"... This lesson is worth buying the book for on its own - and there are another 99 similar lessons that are helpful. Not all days / lessons will resonate with you - however - there's enough information in here to pick out at least 20 things that will help you on your journey of regaining your health, self esteem, confidence and they are written in an easy to understand way. It's as if Linda is personally working with you, inspiring you to take some time to actually wonder what's really going on... And each lesson also has a couple of experiential exercises to help make the learning stick. Well worth buying - it's one of those books you wish you had stumbled across years ago...
