The review I wish I had when researching lights (Hours of research in a 2 min read)
If you were like me you are probably looking for simple, cheap, but effective grow lights. This is it, look no further! Stop pulling out your hair. I spent countless hours trying to find something cheaper, something better, something that only a clever person could find that wasn't thisโbut I just ended up with this. These are quite literally THE entry grow lights. So start here. - Don't bother with traditional LED, they aren't full spectrum like these "grow light" LED's are. - Don't get confused about all the blue, red, green waveforms. This is the one that you want, it's closest to the sun for budget lights that isn't pink, and gives you plenty of what you need from each. RGB tweaking and knowing which one you want for what is, highly niche stuff for people that weren't searching for plug-and-play that does not apply to majority of the population. - Sure, pink lights are great to have for plants. But nobody likes looking at them. Studies show people have a tendency to hide them away and they lower sexual arousal. You will hate owning them and anyone glancing through a window that has pink lights will assume "drug dealer". - Don't bother with fluorescent and putting them in old housing units, they don't work as well as LED and aren't "Full Spectrum" AKA "like the sun", which is what you want. - Fluorescent housing units are expensive unless you trash ones thrown out by someone upgrading to LED and require wiring. But these are plug and play and can be daisy-chained. - T8 > T5. - 42 watt (more power) is what you want; unless you don't care about peak efficiency with plants and your electricity is expensive. Then you want 20 watt (less power). Which is a tradeoff between cost and performance. Your plants won't be as deep a green, nor as crunchy, but it's not a huge difference. The plants won't get all of what they want but it will get you to seedling status so you can put them in your garden. Don't bother with 10 watt / T5 unless you're dirt poor. - 42 watt for most people is like $0.25/day, 20 watt is like $0.09/day. - Their customer support is great. I had some missing cables in the box I ordered and they set me straight right away. Very polite folks! - Plants sleep the same as you, remember people saying "8 hours is the ideal amount of sleep"? Same for plants. I do 16/8. That means, 16 hours lights ON, 8 hours lights OFF. Advanced DIY setup: - You want a 5-tier "Brightroom" metal shelf from Target. Chrome is more reflective than black. Cheapest, highest quality shelf you'll get for this. Fits the lights great. - These Stainless Steel trays (no plastic, easy to clean, last forever): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YWWXK7G They are 20" x 14" x 1" and they come in a two pack so $15-17 each. 1" depth is great for trays, better than deeper trays. - This digital timer for your lights: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Z3F8L4C (Nearpow digital timer) two pack so $10 each. - Attach the lights to a board that can be raised/lowered. Glue reflective mylar to the bottom side. - Use metal bobbins as tiny pulleys for the string and metal fly fishing rods to raise/lower the lights. - Make a mylar-covered box that goes around the shelf with airflow using two PC fans. - Attach water jugs and use capillary action / gravity wicks to bottom water the seedlings so you never have to do it. - For storage on top of the shelf, get "apple boxes" from your local grocery store for free. They fit perfectly on top and will store a ton of stuff in them. Lazy DIY setup: - Same Brightroom shelf. - "Adjustable rope hangers" to raise/lower lights. - Cheap plastic 1020 growing trays. - Same digital timer. - Budget: cheap string and/or hose clamps to hold the string to the sides of the shelf to hold the lights in their position. Use a ratchet or screwdriver to raise/lower them. (Psst, pennies are cheaper than washers) This post likely helped you so click the "helpful" button and pay it forward next time you do an insane amount of research on something so we don't collectively waste thousands of hours of time that could be spent growing plants that make the world a better place. ------- P.S. Get your neighbors to start growing. Teach them Green Beans, Malabar Spinach, and Sweet Potatoes. These are highly nutritious, ridiculously easy, and you can give them endless seeds / cuttings and slips that they can plant and it's practically impossible to mess them up. And they can teach it to others as well. Many of these people never had the 'seed' planted in their mind that you did that made you get started. They need someone to do it, and you need it too, or all your knowledge will mean nothing if things get rough. It's not enough to know how to grow food, they need to know it too.

Perfect Grow Lights with Plenty of Cord Length
The Barrina Grow Lights 2FT 5000K White Full Spectrum Plant Growing Lamps are fantastic! The lights are bright and provide great full-spectrum coverage for my plants. Assembly was quick and simple, which I really appreciated. What makes these lights stand out is how versatile they are. The 3 power cords and 5 connecting cords make it easy to configure the setup exactly how you want. I especially love the 4ft connecting cords! Iโve had issues in the past with cords being too short to properly adjust lights between shelves, but these have plenty of slack (see pictures). It makes spacing the lights to fit my shelving so much easier. On top of that, the price is excellent for the quality you get. Highly recommend!

Good quality lights at a great price!
Work well, bright and efficient with minimal heat generation. Cord to link them together is a good length and allows easy placement without too many constraints. Might be nice to have shorter cords included as well, as I had to tie up the excess when I put two fixtures side by side over my seedling starting shelf, but I'd rather have extra length and tie it up vs having the cord be too short. This newer version uses slightly different placement for the power connection, which didn't match up to my previously designed 3D Printed mounts, but that wasn't a huge issue, just had to move them slightly in my CAD program to match the new location. Plants are happy, so I'm happy!

Outstanding performance for your growing setup.
Exceptional and outstanding grow lights! 4ft long lights provide amazing coverage for all your plants. Full spectrum, bright lights give seedlings the start they need to grow and become healthy transplants. Im extremely satisfied with these lights! I grow on a large scale and needed to set up a new propagation station. These lights were just what I needed. Nearly no heat and bright enough to be the sun! The daisy chain feature means less cords and I can plug into my timer effortlessly. Im super happy and satisfied with these lights. Thanks!!

Great lights that don't break the bank.
I've been using these for 2 1/2 months now replacing my very old shop lights and love them in my greenhouse. The seedlings and plants are thriving. The regular shop lights did well too but these are lighter weight, easier to deal with and energy saving. I liked them so much I bought more of their T5's for extra seedling shelves.

Great lights but missing some reflectors and hanging clips
These lights are very bright, I love that you get 6 lights (the price is great!) and I imagine they'll work great for starting seeds. Very easy to assemble. My only complaint is that I only received hanging clips and reflectors for 4 lights, not 6. Not a big deal, just surprised.

These are really good lights!
I'm on my second purchase of these grow lights. They work really well! They were really easy to install and even come with all the zipties you need to hook them up. They come with everything you need to hardwire them to boards as well. I like that I can Daisy chain them together. They don't get hot either. What I really like, is I can put them at the top of my wire shelves, and I don't have to raise my plants closer. I've used LED shop lights to start my seedlings for years, and they work, but recently the price has really gone up. These Berrina lights came out cheaper for 6 lights, than the equivalent amount for shop lights at a box store. I also have 3 grow lights that were more expensive. I noticed the plants aren't any taller than the plants under the Berrina lights, and don't look quite as green and healthy. I think it's because those lights need to be further away. That's hard to do on shelves. And, they are more expensive. I expanded my plants I'm growing this year and I'm going to slowly switch out my existing shop lights for the Berrina. The shop lights are working, but it's a pain in the butt to either raise or lower the shop lights depending on what stage the plants are in. The cost, and not having to move them are big selling points for me on the Berrina lights!

Good lights. PAR values in description is accurate
Pretty good lights for the money. I paid $59 ($10 coupon at the time). The lights came packaged really well. All reflectors were in mint condition as were the lights. They come with every accessory you could possibly imagine. The plastic tube covering the LED diodes has a protective clear plastic (a bit of a pain to start the peel, but glad itโs there). Even double sided tape and zip ties is included. I tested par values and they are in line with the description at the given distances. Just make sure to use the reflector as I tested both with and without and there is a significant difference. Yes this isnโt the best reflector, but it is a reflector and I tested it both ways with my seneye PAR meter. I also hooked up all 6 to my watt meter and they pull about 120 watt and 1.2 Amp total if Iโm recalling. (I did that yesterdayโฆ numbers arenโt exact, but very close I promise). So youโre safe daisy chaining all 6 as itโs well under the 2A rating of the cables. (Instructions state up to 10 2 foot units ). Iโm currently using 4 of them to supplement other lighting I already was using in my emersed aquatic plant shelf. Very bright. Color rendition is very tolerable. Itโs not warm nor cool, looks more like natural lighting as far as color temp, So I guess 5000k is pretty accurate. Light has a slight hint of pink; barely perceivable. Stays cool. They are also very light weight, so using velcro or the included double sided tape would be no trouble. I am using much heavier aquarium led lights in my emersed setup with velcro no problem. There is no cheap built in timer which is a god send. Those things are terrible. I have one light with that feature and Iโve thought about cutting it out often. For one you can only set certain time increments 6,9,12..etc, second of all good luck if it loses power. Nope. Add a Wi-Fi smart timer and set it through your phone, or even an old school mechanical or digital timer if smart plugs arenโt your thing. Leaps and bounds Better than those inline timers. Lose power? No problem. Want the light on a specific schedule? No problem want to run two photoperiods a day? No problem. Canโt do any of that with lights that have those cheap inline timers. Overall pretty good for the money. The PAR is there to grow plants, they run cool, are cheap, can be placed real close to plants if need be. You are also given multiple power leads and multiple daisy chain connectors. You can run a bunch individually in different locations or together. They really include everything you could need. Run a set of 6, two sets of 3, or 3 sets of twoโฆ you get three power leads, 5 18 inch daisy chain cables , a bunch of daisy chain solid block connectors for running the lights side by side without having 18 inches of cable to deal with. Very versatile. Iโm honestly impressed.

Great lights and my seed starts are flourishing without getting leggy
A few year ago I purchased the Barrina pink full spectrum growing lamps and loved them! Now I'm getting more serious with seed starting and decided to purchase the white full spectrum. I really like the new connection areas which are more secure and the bonus is they would still work with my original purchase. My search on type of lights indicated both types are good with pink more in the range of boosting flowers, and white is more for leaf growth. I also have them on a timer to make life more simple.

Grows sprouts faster than ever.
Have purchased 3x different six packs of lights from Barrina, I have this one. The older yellow ones and the blue/red ones. All of them work amazingly well, but I think these are the brightest of the bunch. Have them attached to a Costco heavy duty rack for four levels of growth. Absolute monsters my flowers are flowering before it's time to put them in the yard. The scallions are thicker than I've ever seen and I've had to cut them back three times already. Everything is just shooting up in growth way faster than my old box style LEDs. 2 lights perfectly fit a 4 foot by 18 inch growing space. (If you want to do vertical sprout shelf) The tomatoes are already 18 inches tall 3 weeks after sprouting the marigold are all flowering.

Good but not quite strong enough for all plants
Work well enough for most plants. Not the brightest though and you may find some plants that require more light will become etiolated.
