This lamp, is a lamp, bulbs grow into plants, it'll last you ages, not joking, ours lasted for a good 3 months easy, probably longer, I didn't note the date I fitted it, but it broke when it got touched, as they do, I will buy more of this brand when required.

For an item that is designed to be used often they do not last long. You need to have spares at all times as the gives up the ghost very suddenly.

Both bulbs have blown within 22 days and that's only having them on 4hrs per day max

I wasn’t sure if this lamp would be any good as it was so cheap compared to others however I was pleasantly surprised, my tortoise seems to be very happy under his new lamp. It comes with two bulbs as per description as is very simple to set up, just simply clip to the side of the tortoise table, plug in and you’re good to go. The switch itself is handy as there is the ability to set a timer of 2hrs, 4hrs or 8hrs of light time. And you can also dim the bulb if you would like also. Only thing I will say is the bulb itself is pretty exposed so be careful not to touch it when it is on as it does get very hot.

Came quickly and works fine. I've only used one but has been in there with the Tortoise for a few weeks and he seems happy. It does seem to be just the right temperature a and we just use it for 5 hours a day as recommended on the box.

I have bought from other suppliers and the bulbs would pop after only a few weeks or immediately. These however last a considerable length of time in my tortoise terrarium. 25w provides additional warmth and sun glow economically 8 hrs a day, supported by a heat lamp and a full spectrum UV strip light. If you are looking for a quality product that lasts. Then I would recommend these bulbs.
