Have procured cookie scoops with similar mechanism previously. All in the past have "jumped the track" and were rendered useless as once jumped the track would not stay engaged. These have every indication of being sturdy and well constructed. Have not "jumped the track."

I was really hoping there were going to be good but after my first use, I went back to my old scoop. Cookie dough stays stuck inside the scoop. The metal band doesn’t go all the way across the inside of the scoop anddoesn't release all the dough from the scoop.
