I used it for a standard/insulated outdoor extension cord and it fits perfectly. The fact that it holds the cord from the left and the right simultaneously gives you a solid grip on it and keeps it in place.The bad (in my opinion): It's that very cheap, shiny plastic that looks like it could snap quite easily in the wrong location. The screws are very short so if you're using this in an area where there is high tension on the cord or cable, if you're going into soft wood, it could pull out. You get about 1/8" depth of hold and on a simple application (flat area without tension) I imagine it will hold just fine.I used mine to hold a cord going around 2 corners and those are the ones I'm worried about, given the thickness of that cord.Overall, I think it's the best design to hold heavier cable, would just like to see a more pliable matte plastic used so there is a little more give to them. (Matte so the clips are more camouflaged against the black wood I used it on).Tip: If you're working outdoors with these during cold weather and using a heavier cord/cable and need a bend in there, make sure you keep your cord inside where it's warm before installing so it's more pliable. It'll help if you're running it under eaves and down around the foundation of your house on those area where it has to bend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly well-made for a plastic clip. *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2017* I have a love-hate relationship with hardware and fittings. The outsourcing of manufacture to China has typically provided great prices, but lower quality. Screws and bolts are so soft they don't take much force. Plastics are not as strong as I like. When I do things, I like it to look really good. These were perfect. I was able to modify a view of these as I needed with a Dremel tool and the plastic was perfect--cuts well and can be shaped. Sturdy and thick plastic that has just enough give to pop in a cable without cracking.What is really nice is that there are more than enough screws and a drill bit of the right size is included. Gotta love that.Be careful with the pilot hole as the screws are short, but are long enough for a firm substrate like wood. I was running a heavy cable, so I added a drop of white glue to the screw tips. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are the best cable containment system, in my opinion *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2018* OMG, these literally revolutionized the cords and wires running from my desk across the room to the modem and surge protector. Dogs and people were regularly tripped on our cords. My office looks so neat and tidy now! Best of all, they are movable and can hold at least 2-3 ethernet/computer cables or skinny adapter cords. I am SO glad that I bought these instead of those little brackets you nail into the wall to hold the cords in place. One box was more than enough for my home office computer desktop needs, which included taming about eight different cables across 14 feet of walls (horizontally and vertically) used on two different wall surfaces.
