Strongest MagSafe accessory yet
I really enjoy the wallet. Even with the case on my phone this thing a solid. It doesn’t want to come off or anything. I really love it. The only thing I don’t like is that you can hold up to a maximum of four cards on the right side. On the left side, there’s a small rubber binder that is to hold a smaller item which I’m guessing it’s for cash. I wish they would’ve made that side to hold cards as well. Then it would’ve been a 10 out of 10. But you’re limited with that left side because only the right side will hold cards. I’ve had this in my cart since October and it finally went down in price so I picked it up and I’m glad I did. If I would’ve known it as good as it is I would’ve paid full price for it back in October. Now they do have another colors so that’s probably why the black went on sale. I would go for it I really like it and like I said it sticks beautifully even with a case on my phone. A lot of people said it was too big and stuck too far out. I think since the camera sticks out on the iPhone 14 anyways this doesn’t make a difference. It’s no thicker than any battery pack. You would stick to the back of your phone. I think it’s just perfect. they hit it out of the park with this one. 2/27/23 update: Just wanted to let you all know that this wallet is still working strong. I have a few tiny scratches, but you have to look for them. Other than that I still love. The magnet works amazing on the back of my phone with the case. And just so you know, I do have a MagSafe case in case you were thinking, I just had a regular case on it, and I was using magnets in the phone. I found that it sticks very well to the phone without a case, but it swivels from side to side is a little bit without my case on. I think the case creates friction, and it doesn’t allow it to slide as easily on the back of a smooth phone. Like I’ve said in my first post, it will hold three cards and up to five bills folded properly to fit behind the binder opposite card side. With this amount inside, you can feel the pressure on the clip that secures it shut. With or without extra items inside does not affect how well it’s secures magnetically. I have still read people complaining that it’s too big and too fat to carry on the back of their phone. I completely disagree still and use it every day and I constantly get compliments on it and asking where I got it and what it is. The reason I say this is because as far as the cameras protrude on the back or the newer phones the wall it almost lines up evenly just enough to keep the camera from making contact with the counter when the phone is laid face up. I actually enjoy holding the phone more with the wallet on the back cause I get a better grip. I don’t think it makes any difference as far as weight is concerned of the phone. Just makes it easier for me to hold it makes the phone more ergonomic with it on. I still highly recommend the case. I did wait till it was on sale but if you really want one, I would just buy it it’s about seven dollars cheaper on sale. But like I said before if I would’ve known how much I enjoy it I would’ve paid full price for it instead of waiting for the sale. Good luck. I hope you enjoy it if you do decide to buy one. I just know that I have a good return policy. If you don’t like it I got 30 days to try it. Once you put it on your phone though you will know right away. Or try it out around the house and see if you like it and if you don’t return it. Well, I still love mine and highly recommend it and I am going to buy another color when I find them on sale again. but since I have one already, I’m just gonna wait. Good luck. Jim

This thing is AWESOME!
This thing has been AWESOME, its built like a brick house, and has a nice almost "Tacticool" esthetic to it. I can fit 5 standard cards and about a Hundred bucks in 20's. the clip gets a little tight when its that full, but it still closes fine! the Magnet strength is awesome and only gets better depending on your case! One minor issue I had though, was my case has a metal folding stand on the back that has begun to scratch the back of the Wallet, leaving some heavy grooves where the hinge sits on the case. it doesn't effect performance and isn't visible during normal use anyways. No harm no foul in my book! Highly recommend, if your looking for a GREAT case for the price!

Excellent daily carry wallet
Having recently become disabled, I needed something to keep the necessary items with me without carrying a bulky wallet. This immediately fit the bill. I recognized the Pelican name from spending my first career as a paramedic. They produced many of the compartment boxes we use and were known for durability. This product does not disappoint. Out of the box, it feels solid. There is a snap closure that keeps the wallet shut that has a satisfying “snap” when you lock it. When you open it, the clamshell has two compartments. The one on the left will hold loose bills or papers, while the right side holds your cards. I have found the limit to be four cards of standard thickness. This allows me to carry my identification, debit card, fuel discount card, and health insurance card with me at all times. Other cards I may need on occasion I keep in a separate area and will add/remove as I need to. The magnet on the case is reasonably strong. I have my iPhone 14 in a slim MagSafe case, and the Pelican wallet holds well. I do wish that the magnet was just a little bit stronger, however, as the wallet will still slide around with just a slight amount of force. Any break with the magnet will cause the wallet to fall off. Fortunately, this hasn’t happened, and I don’t expect it will with normal wear, but it is something to be conscious of when using this product. Finally, and this is a small point, but meaningful to many people: the lack of colors. The only one you can get is the one listed: black. With most everyone having multiple color phones and colorful cases, a solid black wallet almost stands out as an eyesore. Having a handful of colors available would not be a bad idea. However, functionality overruled the need for color to me. This is a great product from a great company. Well worth a try to keep your items secure!

Heavy‑Duty Magnetic Wallet with Secure Snap‑On Design
The Pelican MagSafe Wallet for iPhone is an excellent accessory that combines rugged protection with everyday convenience. The magnetic snap‑on design attaches securely to my iPhone and stays in place through daily use — no slipping or misalignment. The MIL‑STD build feels incredibly durable; it’s clear this wallet was made to last. The card‑holding capacity is perfect for storing my essential cards and ID without adding bulk, and the quick‑access design makes it easy to grab what I need on the go. I also appreciate how well it integrates with MagSafe charging — I can leave the wallet on and still charge wirelessly with no issues. Overall, this wallet elevates how I carry my phone and cards. It’s tough, functional, and well‑made — a great choice if you want a secure, no‑fuss magnetic wallet for your iPhone!

Seems to be tough, but massively oversized
UPDATE: Well, this wallet lasted almost 10 months before the MagSafe ring popped off. There is only some glue and a thin layer of plastic holding it in. — I was excited to see a MagSafe case that held more than 3 cards. This one holds 4 standard thickness credit cards without the numbers embossed. If you have the Apple Card which is much thicker, or if you have a credit card with the numbers embossed (a lot of AMEX cards still do this), then this wallet goes back to being a 3 Card Case. My major issue with this wallet is that Pelican has wasted a ton of space inside this wallet and in doing so, made it unnecessarily thick. So much so, that this wallet is 3x thicker than the official Apple MagSafe Wallet, yet the Pelican Wallet only holds 1 more credit card. With the official Apple MagSafe Wallet, I can store 3 cards plus some folded up cash (2 bills if 1 of the cards is not an extra thick card). For comparison, it is about twice as thick as the iPhone itself. The magnetic connection seems a little weaker than the Apple MagSafe Wallet. This may be because the Pelican case is plastic and tends to slide around. The Apple MagSafe Wallet is leather (very very thin leather), but when used on a leather case, not only will the magnet stick stronger, but the leather touching leather bond also helps to hold it to the case stronger. As far as durability goes, the Pelican MagSafe Wallet seems to be much more durable, but time will tell. I am nervous about the longevity of the little plastic clasp, tiny metal pegs, and the rubber strip that holds the cards and cash. While the Apple MagSafe Wallet is actually full of a lot of hidden features, the quality, just like all of the Apple iPhone cases, is just not very good. You can expect the Apple MagSafe Wallet to look good for about 4 months and last maybe 6 months if you do not drop it at all. Speaking of drops, the Pelican wallet is plastic and has already come off my phone a few times, so I have a few very light scratches. However, I expect that if this hits a cement surface, it will result in a large and deep scratch. PROS: - Holds 1 additional standard thickness non-embossed credit card than the Apple MagSafe Wallet - More durable than the Apple MagSafe Wallet CONS: - 3x the thickness of the Apple MagSafe Wallet, and 2x thicker than the iPhone itself, for 1 additional card - No grip, so this will slip and slide - Magnet is much weaker than the Apple MagSafe Wallet - Have to remove all cards to get just 1 card out - Does not have Find My tracking embedded like the Apple MagSafe Wallet

Meh. Not the Pelican durability I was expecting.
I got this wallet for while I was on vacation, and really liked it. I was able to carry my phone with the wallet stuck to it, my two IDs, two credit cards, and 3-5 bills folded up in case I needed cash (most theme parks do not even take cash anymore!). I noticed that after a week or so that the magnet side of the wallet was starting to get scratched up, but that did not bother me. After 6 weeks I dropped it and the top hinge completely busted. I was able to fix it with CA glue, but I was expecting more durability from a Pelican product - I have camera cases and pew-pew cases by them that are absolutely durable. This, not so much. I gave it 3 stars since I liked it and the breakage was due to me dropping it, but I wish it was more durable like other Pelican cases. I'll get another wallet like this one, but not the same brand.

Best way to carry cards at a medieval faire...
New review written 15 December 2025: My first MagSafe wallet lasted for a few years until the magnets pulled out in a ring. There is a video of that made by another reviewer which shows exactly the fail mode. After that happened, I purchased another, same thing. A year later, had the magnets pulled out. So I buy another. I have #5 on the way. I use the MagSafe wallet a lot when at a medieval faire on weekends, otherwise, I use it only when I want to carry my ID, a credit card, and a couple bills of cash. I like the latch, which is why I keep buying these, as I'm confident no cards will work their way loose and out. Is it rugged? It does what I need it to, that is handle 50 days a year of active performing on stage, hiking, and other active stuff. Never had an issue with it opening, so that fact makes it worth it. The failure mode where the magnets pull out? You will notice it when some start to go. You probably have 1-3 removal cycles before the plastic cover over the ring is completely gone. It sucks, but at least, in my experience, it gives you warning, and still keeps the wallet in place. However, most people are not going to place the wallet on the phone and remove it as often as I do, where at faire, the wallet is on the phone, but when I leave, the wallet gets placed on a metal surface in my vehicle, where it stays until needed again, so I probably do a lot more removals than most people probably about 100+ a year. I'm still going to give it five stars, as there is nothing else out there that gives the peace of mind this does, especially when doing active stuff. However, I expect to replace mine every year.

Nice case
This is a very good case. Works perfectly with my MagSafe case. Holds the bare essentials. So not bulky at all…

Excelente producto

Strong magnet
Solid build quality, but pricey, but leaning towards it being worth the extra money for the strength of the magnet alone.
