Bought this for a board game group I run. There was much happy banter and they all enjoyed it thoroughly.

In terms of gameplay this expansion is essential. It fixes a confusing aspect about treasure cards having special abilities and gives ports more use other than just having a cost after landing on them. This revision of The Crew is mostly good with a better Rum Bottle token than the original but the cardboard Tavern Sheet it comes with isn't as nice as the insert tray from the original. The expansion can now all fit inside the revised base game box so at least that's a plus and I guess over weighs the cheaper quality of the cardboard Tavern sheet vs. box tray. This is an must have expansion for Jamaica, so don't hesitate to purchase it.

The expansion set really added another level to the strategic play. We all thought it was more fun with two of the younger family members stating it was more fun but also a bit more complicated. We loved almost everything about it. The only thing we wished is that the characters on the crew cards would have been the same as the ones on the play cards already. Definitely worth the spend!
