I bought this netting to cover a large fenced area for my chickens so they could not get out. Normally they free range during the day and I lock them up at night so they are safe from raccoons, opossum, weasels, foxes and so forth. Lately, however, a cougar (mountain lion) has begun to consider my flock as his daytime buffet. Until I can figure out how to solve that problem the chickens are going to have to deal with some confinement. The netting is better quality than I expected considering the low price. I even think it is strong enough to thwart the cougar should he attempt to jump the fence to get at my chickens. Stretched tight it would, of course, be no match for the big cat, but hung loosely over the fence with a central wire running the length of the enclosed area to act as a peak I think it is more than a match. Should the mountain lion leap the fence it will quickly find itself inextricably entangled in the two inch mesh. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and will buy again. I have some fruit trees, blueberry bushes, and raspberry vines that could use some protection from birds. One warning to anyone using this product, it comes neatly folded and is easy to unfold, but you should definitely have help when using this. It is very large and will hang up on everything and anything it comes into contact with, even tall grass. This is not a detraction from the product, but a thing that is true of all netting. Be prepared.

Purchased this to put over the top of a fenced area to keep peachicks from flying out. We purchased the largest net which actually seemed to be larger than described but that worked to our advantage. We laid it out and the folded in half lengthwise and then folded widthwise. Gave us 4 layers for protection. Then we zip tied it taut to a PVC frame we built over the fence. So far so good. Keep in mind that it will snag and tangle on anything in the ground and any wire or anything not smooth. It was a terrible pain and we had 3 people but could have used more, but the end result was worth it so far. It's been 1 month and it is still taut and hole free!Update: It's been 5 months, still taut and holding up well. Couldn't be more happy at this point!

i was a little disappointed there was no hem (border) around the edges. it's just netting with some loops tied in the corners, but it was larger than i expected and even though the material is thin, it's quite strong. i'm using it to cover my chicken pen (i lost my rooster to a hawk) and so far it works great. the material is so fine, you can hardly even tell it's there. i'm pleased with it, ordered another.

I ordered this to put over my chicken run. First of all, it was incredibly difficult to put up because it was all tangled. As we were putting it up it seemed to get tangled again and again. The very next day I found a little wild bird had gotten all tangled up in the netting. It was almost dead from the stress of fighting to free itself. It was absolutely heartbreaking! I managed to carefully cut the little bird out of the netting. If I hadn't found the bird when I did, I'm sure it would have died! Then I read that may wild birds die each year because of this type of netting. Please think twice before you buy this! We took this netting down and bought a solar sail / shade to cover the top of the chicken run instead. It is working great and no injured wild birds. Buying this netting was a huge waste of time and money!

I have had netting of this kind for garden roofing for the last 3-4 years. I have a 30’ x 40’ garden. The last net finally gave way after being out in the elements for 3-4 years and I had to replace it. Once the betting is up, it’s a gem. I imagine it’s way easier to install on a smooth PVC tubing frame, but I have a 6 foot wooden framed fence around my garden. We put a 50’ x 50’ net over the entire top for a roof to keep the birds out. Because of the wooden frame, it wasn’t easy to get put up( as it sticks to everything) but it works and keeping the birds out of my garden was well worth it. I even have a lot left over I can use for patching later on.

I used this netting for protection from hawks for my chickens. Problem was I had to unravel a 10 foot length, staple it to the wood beams then unravel again, staple etc. it was a hot mess express. If it touched the ground, anything on the ground stuck to it and it would just put the netting together creating a bungled mess.There’s gotta be an easier way.Right now it’s up in pieces because I had to cut out the bungled mess and work with what I had to finish the job. Is it holding up? Yes. Is it preventing hawks and birds from flying in? Yes. Is it sturdy? Yes.These are the reasons I gave it 3 stars.

This product was all tangled up whenever we unwrapped it. Will not recommend

A great bargain. have had this over 2 years and has been great. Only thing is that you need to get it laid out and on in one push. If yuo need to start maneuvering by yourself, it can hang up on things and will rewire patience to stretch out, so find a buddy to help !

Muy mala calidad, el hilo es muy delgado y se requieren muchas horas para desenrredarlo. La malla se rompió desde los primeros días de uso.
