I now understand why cage makers say to use USA made hardware cloth, this stuff is terribly off on its measurements regarding the mesh, welded crooked, un even and just plain out of spec. I made it work for what we used it for but it was not worth the savings over the US made hardware cloth. You dont think much of it, 1/2 x 1/2 how could they mess that up but its actually just a rough guideline. You can not use sections more than a few feet long as after that it will no longer lay flat no matter what you do the one side will buckle warp and fight you and no I dont mean because it was rolled. One side will be a bit longer as the wire is not welded squarely.

I ordered this coated 1/2" x 1/2" coated hardware cloth hoping it would match what was already on our chicken run that was built by contractors in Pennsylvania. It is nowhere close to the quality of what we already have - very flimsy and even has a bad wire running through it, forcing us to cut it in a different direction than planned. We expanded our run by a few feet and had hoped this would not only come close to matching what is already on the rest of the run but, unfortunately it is so flimsy that we are having to reinforce it for the purposes of predator proofing.

Wanted to plug up 3.5 inches under a metal deck barrier for my kitty. He can squeeze under the coffee table at 3 inches so I need to plug up the horizontal space so he can be outside on the deck with me.

Overall great product. Durable and the coating is really good. The only thing that was frustrating is its not 24 inches wide. It's a half inch short of that so 23.5 inches wide. I had built the piece I need to cover for 24 inches so had to rework it to use it. Overall I'm happy other than shorted a half inch on width.
