I'm traveling from the US to New Zealand. Is this the right power converter to charge US products over there?

I'm not sure. I got this one for use in China and it was perfect. This is not a converter. It's an adapter so you can plug into their different outlets. All my chargers work on 110 or 220 so I didn't need a converter. When I found mine I googled adapter and China. I think Europe is different so New Zealand may be also.

No, just as you can't plug a USB cable into a US wall socket; instead you need a USB converter which plugs into a wall socket and you then connect the USB cable to the converter. This device simply changes the format of the prongs of the plug so you would take the USB converter and plug it into this device and then plug the cable into the USB converter just as you would in the US. Don't forget that the voltage in Australia, NZ and so on is 220V so the USB converter must be able to handle that voltage.

Is there any voltage restriction or anything like that?

This is designed for products that are dual voltage such as cell phone chargers, laptop chargers, etc.. It will not work with 120V only items since it doesn't convert the voltage.

used this in Argentina on vacation. Packed in suitcase in its small box that just contains it, opened box for first time in Buenos Aires. Plugged (120V-240V compliant) laptop power supply into the US plug end, and plugged the other side into a wall socket. It worked, no problems. Workmanship seems good, and of course it worked. Did I mention that it worked?

I traveled to Australia with this and a power strip and it works great. Solidly built and great feature of being able to plug in 2 devices at the same time, which comes handy at times.
