Update Jan 2026: I’m back to order more! I haven’t had a single issue with these, and I now have them around four different gardens. I bring my mower and weed whacker right up to them and they haven’t been damaged at all (and unlike real rocks, didn’t damage my mower or weed whacker). If I had unlimited finances, I’d love to use real rocks but I would be out thousands instead of a few hundred, to have all my gardens match. I can’t speak highly enough about these. They are high enough to separate grass and contain dirt/mulch but not so tall that they make it difficult to see low-grow plants. It’s easy to add on or change the shape any time you want, and I easily added chicken wire when rabbits decided all my plants were tasty. I really worried that pieces bent quite dramatically would crack or somehow be damaged but I haven’t had to replace a single piece and I’m in the Northeast, where our weather ranges from negative temps to triple digits and we get everything from tornadoes and hurricanes to blizzards and ice storms. If any of this changes down the line, I’ll update my review, but I’m downright impressed and I’m grateful there’s a decent product at an affordable price. If real rocks are out of your budget, these are the best alternative, in my opinion. (And I paid full price both times and no one asked me to review anything.) Original review: I’m just putting in a garden and couldn’t believe the cost of actual rocks, so I found myself here. These arrived yesterday and I did this last night. It’s rough on the back because they’re short and you need to get down there to hammer the stakes in, but it survived torrential rain for hours last night while containing the soil. I was impressed with how flexible they are, which I hope doesn’t mean they’ll split sooner than later, but I ordered the 90 foot size and still have more than half left to do other areas and keep some for spares. The stakes were easy to get into the soil, even through cardboard. I did water about an hour ahead, to help soften the ground, but you may not need to do so. These are the Slate, which is lighter than I expected, but looks fine as long as you’re not too close and they all look nice and uniform. I’ll be tidying this up and maybe reshaping the border a bit, which is easy to do with these (I placed and replaced several sections last night). I’m not sure how these will fare once I have to weed whack but I like that they are basically 90 degrees to the ground instead of sloped. I did purchase a rubber mallet to hammer the stakes, which I would recommend to avoid accidentally shattering the border or the stake. Overall, compared to so many other options I looked at, these were a bargain. Hopefully they last many years. I will do my best to come back and update this if anything changes. I paid full price and get nothing for reviewing, just hoping to help others with their purchases since I base so many of mine on them.

I ordered 7 boxes of this edging and was able to get all of it down in about an hour. The pieces connect very easily, you can bend them and they are sturdy enough to withstand the weed trimmer hitting them. The color looks pretty natural and each stone has a bit of a different design so they don't all look the same. I saw some people who bought them were complaining that they looked too glossy but I didn't notice that at all. Obviously they are not real stone, but they still look very nice and in my opinion are much nicer than the standard black lip edging that they sell in the home improvement stores. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a clean landscape look with easy installation 👍

Overall, this is a great product. Sturdy, durable, very easy to install and looks great. Neighbors thought we used real stone until we told them otherwise. Not thin or cheap plastic; high quality and even took accidental missed hammer whacks without chipping or cracking. More than enough stakes were supplied, we had plenty leftover. They secure very solidly, fit and bend around curves and uneven ground easily. The 90’ pack is a crazy deal, to be honest. I’m docking 1 star on my rating because their “brown” color is still very much light gray/whitish. Sure, there’s hints of light brown swirl in them, but you only really see that up close. Overall, they absolutely present as gray (see my photo). The product photo gave the perception they would be more brown/less gray, especially when they specifically have “gray” as an alternate option. We adapted and went with black mulch once we saw, but just be aware they’re not actually brown. One other note; if you’re putting these near trees like we did, consider that you may have to place stakes on specific stones to secure them as needed, but might have a root blocking your ability to do so. I had some random leftover 6” lag bolts that I used to screw into the roots when this happened. You will need a similar solution.

I was worried when I first opened the box. I thought they were going to look cheap once installed. To my surprise, they look really good. They dont look expensive but they look nice. I just installed them today. I'm curious to see how long they last. They were super easy to install. My only complaint is that they did not come with enough spikes. Even without all the spikes, they are very sturdy in place. I would definitely recommend these if you are wanting something but don't want to spend a lot of money.

These are the best. Garden looks great! Not as high quality as i thought but still look great and easy to install.

Update: I was missing some pieces and when I called customer service they quickly shipped the missing pieces which helped me finish an landscape island. Great job! The product came as described, was easy to install and looks good. I made a partial order to see how it looked installed. I went back to reorder and the price increased over $30 per 90' box. Very disapponting.

They look great, easy install. But they do crack and I find small snakes like to hide up inside of them, surprised when I go to weed along the edges.

It looks fantastic—sleek and professional without the cost or hassle of concrete or metal and professional installation. Installation tips: (1) Order extra plastic spikes. The kit only includes enough for every other hold-down hole, but using one in every slot gives it rock-solid stability, especially if you're working with curves or uneven terrain. (2) Hit the plastic spikes square on the head or the cap will snap off. (3) Make sure you don't drive the spikes into any irrigation lines or underground electrical wiring. If I could give this product more than five stars, I would. It’s one of those rare finds that actually delivers on every promise—and then some.
