Brand new antique froe
Froe arrived quicker than expected, and the edge is beveled on both sides and sharp ready to use. The handle to metal connection is super solid. The hand forged froe looks like is was made in a timeless manor fully by hand. It is a pleasure to use, so far on arrival day split a bunch of kindling. Cool tool to look at and have around and will find more uses. Striking the froe with a hard piece of wood while holding in free air causes it to gently ring / vibrate like a tuning fork, which might mean it is hardened nicely.
