Compact powerful multifunctional great tool!
Good size good performance 4 in 1 welder. I tried it on two pieces of rebar and it worked beautifully. What I'm trying to do is weld four pieces of rebar in order to create a base for a garden bed. The tool works great in 120 outlet and delivered a real good consistent weld. Great value for the money considering that you're getting a 4 in 1 welder instead of having the purchase individually. The tool is lightweight and isn't heavy really easy to maneuver and pick up. The dials in the control and the tool are real easy to see they have great visibility to make adjustments as you need them. I really like that the tool is bright red so it's easy to find when it's stored in my storage building. The fit and finish on the tool and all the accessories that came along with it are real nice and of good quality.

Great, inexpensive, little welder
This little welder works better than I ever thought possible for anything so inexpensive. I have a TIG welder, but I love having this welder for quick jobs. It is tomy. I can use it anywhere in the shop or outside and I can run it off my battery&inverter so it is very portable. Something that may not be obvious is that you can fine tune voltage manually. My welds don't look great yet, but a bit more experience should fix that. I am running Blue Demon E71T-11 .035 wire.

Good for beginners
I’ve only welded twice in my life. I first tried a handheld TIG welder on my muffler (it had separated at the seam) but it kept burning through the thin metal. I bought this ARC Captain MIG 135 and used it with the flux-core wire it came with and it is much easier to work with. I have never used a MIG welder before but I had this set up and ready to weld in roughly 10 minutes. It only has 3 buttons so it’s not overwhelming for beginners. It’s relatively small, feels high quality, and I like the digital display. My welds are ugly but they did the job on the seam of my muffler (as seen in video). Took me a little bit to figure out a decent method but overall it went better than my tig welding attempts. The only small downside is that I wanted to store it back in the box and didn’t want to disconnect the gun since I would have to refeed the wire later. That says more about me than the welder though lol. If you’re a DIYer or trying to learn how to weld (like me) this welder is a solid choice. Easy to use, works well, and it’s not too expensive.

Good little welder
For the price point this welder works pretty good . Seems to be a good little welder for home use and DIY . Seems to be made ok but question if it will last if used over light duty , The power cord looks a little small to me for 110/220 welder . I only give three stars because manual is not really clear or have a lot of detail for this being advertised for beginners . Second the welder comes with the hose to run gas but no gauges ! Other competitors welders come with this at the same price point . There also is no tip tool to remove the tip again is with other welders ! Being advertised for beginners a beginner will not have these and will need to purchase ! Then you add the thin looking wire gauge I think at higher amps/ voltage could give some problems . But for light duty usage and the compact design along with price point for a DIY usage you could get by . But if you’re looking for a more complete beginners package I would shop around . I wanted to update my review ! After using this welder a little more and putting it through the paces I did some repairs and it welded great ! I would recommend this welder to everyone ! It did a great job welding the hinges on my old truck . This will do what it says .

Great entry level multi-process welder! Almost perfect
I have been really impressed with the ArcCaptain MIG200 multi-process welder. I bought this welder as an upgrade and replacement for my old Millermatic 140 welder. This ArcCaptain welder has so much more versatility, adjustment, and power compared to the old basic transformer MIG welder I'm coming from. The build quality is excellent, although it may not be as durable as a big name brand, but for DIY hobby use in the garage it will be more than tough enough. The welder comes with almost everything you need to MIG or stick weld out of the box. The only items you'll need to pick up are your MIG wire, shielding gas (unless you run flux-core wire), a gas regulator, or your stick welding electrodes. The welder comes with extra MIG consumables and uses standard tweco style contact tips readily available. 3 different styles of wire drive rolls are provided; V-groove for solid wire, knurled groove for flux wire, and U-groove for aluminum wire. Unfortunately ArcCaptain appears to have a packaging issue though because even with 7 drive rolls included in the kit none of them have a groove sized for running 0.035" (0.9mm) wire of any type. Hopefully they correct this issue in the future. This welder welds nicely and creates an easy to control weld bead. I'm a little rusty with my handwork so the inconsistencies in my test welds were the result of my own travel speed issues and not the welder. The Synergistic MIG functionality is really nice and provides a really good starting point for MIG weld settings. The one thing that ArcCaptain completely fails to mention in their user manual though is that when your in Synergistic mode you MUST set the AMPERAGE level appropriate for the material thickness being welded and then the machine will adjust the voltage and wire feed speed accordingly. For any beginner, just follow this rule of thumb and use 1 Amp for ever 0.001" of material thickness (ex. for welding 1/8" thick steel start with the welder set to 125A in synergistic mode and adjust the voltage from there if the weld is too hot/cold for your liking). My only minor complaints about the welder, aside from the missing 0.035" drive rolls, are that ArcCaptain didn't include a MIG setup chart sticker inside the door cover (which is standard practice on all MIG machines), and that the unit comes wired for 110V input and they provide a 110V to 220V adapter cable. I think this practice of passing 220V through a 110V plug is poor design and may even be a violation of certain electrical safety codes. The better design would've been to have a 220V cable wired to the unit and adapt down to a 110V plug when needed. Overall this ArcCaptain MIG200 welder is a great value for all of the functionality it provides. It provides many more advanced features typically reserved for welders 2-3X the price of this unit. ArcCaptains support team has also been very helpful and responsive to my emails and the customer support is excellent for an international company. I'd highly recommend this welder to anyone looking for an excellent value multi-process MIG welder.

I like it
Great welder for the price. Easy to set up, the display is clear, and it runs smoothly. Works well for different types of welding and feels solid and reliable.

Welder is incompatible. In email from manufacturer, seller is not authorized by ARCCAPTAIN to sell in Amazon.in. It provides no support or service here. The Welder is provided with incompatible gas tube which incompatible with Gas regulators in India. The welding wire roll is smaller and not available in the locally. We get 15 kg roll which is big and wouldnt fit. 220 V /110V plug not suitable.

I just put this puppy to use welding 14 gage 10 gage, tubing and 3/8” plate. It didn’t struggle at all. Even overheads and terrible spots, I was able to adjust the settings so easily with the SYN mode where it automatically adjusts the wire speed to match the desired voltage. I love the thought that was put into this welder. Even threading wire through the liner - it shuts the gas off (so u don’t waste any) and Max’s out the wire speed automatically. I have not used the aluminum wire spool yet but will come back her with some feed back when I do. I had a Lincoln welder that cost me $2500 in 2016 and the mother board fries in 2024. It would have cost more to fix it than buy a new one… so I looked into other models and had a buddy recommend arc captain. I’m glad he did. For the price - this is a fantastic garage welder. I am a journeyman ironworker and a journeyman welder. Most of my garage work is on cars, jeeps and oddball projects. This welder is capable of everything that I plan to throw at it. Very impressed.
