Universal Replacement Remote Control for DirecTV Satellite Cable TV Receiver

All the same functions and works just like the old one. Some buttons are smaller and taller than the original, but work as they should. The plastic does seem to be of a lower quality, but it was priced low to reflect that. If you want an original, contact DTV and see how much and how long for delivery. I'll update if anything changes.

Nice, new remote. Looks just like the old one, except new.Instructions clear enough to connect to my DirecTV box quickly.Instructions fall short on programming the remote for the TV, but the DirecTV menu system helped me to do that. Had to try programming several codes (offered by the on-screen DirecTV guide) before I found one that worked with my new TV.No other issues. Works great.

I’ve purchased 3 of these remotes and all 3 broke. Just a fall on the floor from your sofa breaks the remote. It knocks something loose inside the remote that causes it to stop working. ALL 3 TIMES. Better off buying one from direct tv.

Remote works flawlessly with DirecTV box

I bought one of these last winter after the original remote died following about a decade of faithful service. The buttons on the newer model often got stuck in the down position, which prevented further efforts to control the TV or the satellite receiver. Last night, the remote was dropped from a fairly low height. The battery compartment split in two right where the coil spring is mounted. The device feels cheap and is cheap.
