This is a great glove for gardening
With a great fit and flexibility, these gloves are perfect for garden work. They are much sturdier than latex gloves, so they'll protect your hands when shoveling or pruning, but still allow you to easily pick up small objects and debris. I've also used leather and cloth gloves in the past; the leather get stiff over time, and the cloth gloves are a drag when they get wet. I usually wear a medium-size glove, but the 8/L size (large) seems to be just right. These Atlas gloves can also be washed if they get really grimy. Highly recommended.

Perfect for gardening and duties requiring a 'feel' : UPDATE 10/30/15
I picked up a pair of these while traveling (at a truck stop no less...) on a whim. I was looking for gloves I could use for planting flowers and veggie starts, as well as general weeding. The previous gloves I've used (all leather) didn't allow me to 'feel' things the way I like to, and the rubber gloves I use for household cleaning were OK, but not breathable. In the Atlas Glove, I found the ideal compromise. The Atlas Nitrile Tough Garden Glove has a mesh back (breathable), fits comfortably on my medium to small sized hands and seems to conform to my hand versus being sloppy or stretching out. The gripping surface is slightly rough, which makes grabbing weeds or digging with my hands a breeze. I have not noticed the small barbs on some weeds piercing the glove either, and they seem extremely durable for general gardening use. I like the cuffs which are about 3" long. They can easily be rolled down, but pulled up they offer moderate protection to your wrists and a snug fit to keep dirt out of the gloves. These gloves don't keep water out if the water gets on the back on your hand; where the mesh fabric is on the glove. They do easily rise off and line dry though, and retain their shape features.I've never enjoyed using gardening gloves and almost always ended up taking my gloves off when working in the garden, to be able to 'feel' what I was doing. With the Atlas gloves... I don't want to take them off. They do a great job and I'll be buying more pairs to give to friends, family and to keep on hand as back-ups. Don't hesitate to buy these - you'll love 'em too!**NOTE: These gloves are not tough enough to withstand punctures. If you are cleaning up debris such as clippings from rose bushes, Russian olive trees (spikes)... these gloves will help you grip items, but not protect your hands from cuts. If you have big enough leather gloves to go over them, you probably would get a bit of additional protection without too much bulk, which would work OK for those types of prickly items.-----------------------------------------------JUNE 25, 2011 - UPDATEI've used these gloves underneath a pair of thick leather gloves to clear blackberries - works like a charm! I was worried about the bulk, but there really was no issue. These gloves add to your ability to grip and give just the right extra layer of protection.I've also purchased other gloves from this maker since the first pair and keep coming back to this one because over time it molds to your hand and is 'just right' in its thickness and protection for most yard work and gardening jobs. I've also found them to be a great asset in my fishing toolbox!----------------------------------------------UPDATE: 10/30/15 - Still using them and disappointed to hear they have been discontinued. Buy 'em up before they are gone!!

Best work gloves ever used
These gloves have lasted me almost 6 months. I use 5 pairs a week for work 1 set for each day. I wash them after one use and still holding up. Well worth the money and keep my hands pretty warm. Best work gloves ever. I deal with alot of outside elements and hold up.

Thin gloves that last long.
These gloves are great. I used to by them 1 pair at a time from my plumbing supply house, but now I can get a great deal by buying in bulk. I usually wear an XL sized glove for working, but these fit me perfectly in Large. They have some stretch though. The material easily outlasts any other glove I've tried that is this lightweight and form fitting. They are very tough, great for working with tile, or brick. Plumbing, woodworking, anything where you need fine detail work with you fingers, where most gloves are too bulky, these ones are just like a second layer of skin. I can pick up all but the smallest flat parts off a smooth surface. I can still fit my hands in my pockets for find keys or make phone calls. These even work on my Nexus 7 tablet and my dad's Droid Razr touchscreens. After a while, the spaces between each finger will start to show some wear, like small holes and tears, but the main surfaces hold up for weeks on end. I wear these pretty much round the clock at work because I just feel like I'll get a splinter the instant I remove them. They are like safety glasses for your hands. A good pair isn't even noticeable after a while, but you miss them when they are gone. My only complaint is after sweating in these a few times they can really start to stink, but I don't see why they couldn't be washed, I just haven't tried it. They are cheap enough to toss after a few weeks.

Love these gloves!
These gloves are amazing. They fit me a bit tight when they're brand new, but after some use, they just conform to my hand. It's like a second skin. The working surfaces seem impervious to every chemical I've come into contact with so far. They wipe off easily. The backsides breathe well, so my hand doesn't feel clammy. Good dexterity. I can use them to thread bolts and nuts. I'm not constantly taking them on and off like some others I've used. I mostly use them while working on cars and engines. For garden tools, they reduce hand strain, because they grip so well. I no longer have a death grip on my Pulaski, axe, or hickory handled 32-oz framing hammer! I've thrown them in the washing machine, and they survived. I let them air dry though. Not sure if they'd survive dryer heat.

XL size fingers are short
Great glove but the fingers on size XL seem short. I wear an XL in most gloves - but the fingers are about half inch too short for me on these. Maybe size up?

Great product
My go to gloves. Not too bulky but still protect me from the metal splinters at work. Each pair lasts me about a week in the rain (drying them daily) and even longer if the weather isn’t bad.
