Known for blockbuster films like Scandal Makers and A Werewolf Boy, Park Bo Young returns to television for the tvN supernatural romantic drama Oh My Ghost (a.k.a. Oh My Ghostess). Portraying dual personalities as a mousy young woman possessed by a bold ghost, the petite actress acts up an adorable storm and cooks up sizzling chemistry with Jo Jung Suk (You Are The Best, Lee Soon Shin). Kim Seul Gi (The Idle Mermaid) co-stars as the saucy spectre in question while Im Ju Hwan (What's Up) plays a mysterious police officer who may be linked to her past life. Frequently haunted by ghosts, perennially tired and timid kitchen assistant Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young) goes through life with her head hanging down. She is secretly in love with cooking and with irascible chef Kang Sun Woo (Jo Jung Suk), the owner of the restaurant she works at, but she's too introverted and insecure to make any headway in life. Everything changes when Bong Sun gets possessed by sassy spirit-on-the-run Shin Soon Ae (Kim Seul Gi) who has a grudge to settle: she needs to lose her virginity. Her time is limited and she's set her sights on Sun Woo! Meanwhile, a little ghostly intervention may be exactly what Bong Sun needs to turn her life around.

A ghostly love story
This dvd arrived in mint condition. The quality of the movie and the sub-titles are great. If you are a fan of ghostly movies, you will definitely enjoy this dvd. I watched the movie on Netflix and had to purchase it. I've watched Park Bo Young so many times in it and can only marvel at her acting ability. The love story is fantastic as well as all the actors in this. I recommend it highly.

Absolutly great show!
First off get the digital version, the DVD will most likely be bootleg and or low quality and most likely over priced.this show i just great, i have watched it over 10 times if not more. i watched it multiple times on Netflix while it was on there and i also bought the dvd set and when i saw it in amazon video as digital i jumped on it. Such a great story and lovable characters, you will fall in love with the two main female leads.

Funny Kdrama
I really like this drama. There’s a lot of really funny stuff. The main female character is one of my favorites anyway. It did also have some tear jerking parts too

Charmer! Delightfully funny, suspenseful, and romantic!
Enchanting story and well cast! No English dubbing to ruin the character feel. Loved watching this with my husband (who actually enjoyed it even more than I did!)We bought this one, because the others weren’t as engaging! Super fun and playful with just a little drama and enough suspense to keep us guessing!

Very good within its limits
It's an easy watch that checks all the K-drama boxes from lakeside romance to serial killers built around a virgin ghost grudge (once again, hurray for using the relics of neoconfucian patriarchy as a comedy trope). You won't be too thrilled or too disturbed and it does have some moving moments as well as some hilarious ones.I'll have to ding it the whole star for the development of the leads' relationship. Good grief, if you thought the virgin ghost was the problem think again: it's really the virgins (because, you know, Koreans don't have sex unless left with no other options). The pair, aged 28 and 33, have relationship skills that would embarrass 15 year olds and that persists through pretty much the whole series. And while the female lead develops somewhat, the male lead has more issues coming in. The character may have been designed by one writer but his dialogue looks like it was created by multiple writers who weren't talking to each other. He's set up to be a liberal, modern person and employer but some of the things that come out of his mouth are hugely contradictory and span the whole range from 21st century cheerleading to regressive machismo, including a dress code for his girlfriend.I'm a bit uncomfortable with the ghost's non-consensual randy rage but then she *is* a ghost with a bad attitude who thinks that she needs to get laid quite urgently or Very Bad Things will happen to her. While the female participants in the triangle find what they think is an acceptable arrangement, his consent is not sought until way too late. This notwithstanding, by far my favorite character was the ghost. It helps that she is played by an in-form Kim Seul-gi, who adds a lot of emotional depth to her well-known comedy skills in this role. The rest of the cast looks rather ordinary but they may have been hampered by unexciting characters and pedestrian writing. It's also one of those series with an annoying time gap near the end, during which they devote huge amounts of time and effort to to achieving self-actualization off screen and separately from each other because, well, they have the relationship skills of 14 year olds and must be kept apart to mature and reach the age of consent, and the audience is not at all interested in what they're doing for THREE WHOLE FRICKIN' YEARS. Or something.By all means, watch it. Oh My Ghost is entertaining within the limitations that it sets itself.
