The reality is: It's sketchy for a 16" MacBook Pro. Unless you have the top section of the stand at its most obtuse angle, the computer is not stable. The stand isn't deep enough and can't support the weight. Bump the table and your computer could tip back. In addition, I have to constantly retighten the hinge points as they can't take the computer's weight and keep working loose. The computer slowing sinks over the course of a few minutes, reducing the viewing angle. And bringing the computer to an even more unstable angle. It's a nice stand and would be great for a smaller laptop.
