Was given an older unwanted Dewalt cordless drill which needed a new battery. Bought a cheaper compatible replacement. Working well so far.

I have never written a review before but felt compelled to do so with this product. I bought this replacement battery for my DeWalt 9098 cordless drill, which the advertisement said was compatible with. This battery came with a charge in it, so I tried to screw a 50mm screw into a piece of wood, it didn't have the power to go in more than 10mm. I then charged it for 12hrs and it wouldn't push the screw in any further, it just stopped. It is absolutely useless. If I could give it zero stars I would have.

I have an older style Dewalt torch and angle drill that are still in good nick, require these batteries and usable so I'm not scrapping the tools because they are just old. Existing 5 batteries, real Dewalt ones, have died over the years but not paying Dewalt prices now for genuine batteries. These new cells are pattern ones and oddly enough are slightly higher in power than original ones. So I'm happy 😄😄😄😄

I bought a couple of these batteries to replace my dead DeWalt ones.They’re much cheaper than the branded ones, but are pretty good at holding their charge.They’re a tight fit in the drill and in the charger, so you will need to force them in/out a bit, but otherwise they’re fine.
