Easy to use, poor battery life.
Not too noisy, actually quiet compared to older models. Easy to use once you have set it up. Battery is ok, could be longer, lasting about 6 days between charges. The toothbrush itself is a good quality, great weight and looks the business. The power it generates for brushing is fantastic, my teeth have never felt cleaner.

Genuine "Wow!" coming from a longtime DiamondClean user
I've been a longtime Sonicare DiamondClean user, having purchased two of them (after the first one broke); I bought my first one in 2011 for £250 when they first came out and then its replacement for £97 in 2016 (having just checked my Amazon purchases!), and lots of replacement brush heads since then. The DiamondClean is an excellent toothbrush, and I'm not adverse to spending good money on occasion with devices that help keep your teeth in good condition.. it's a lot cheaper than dental work! I noticed about a year ago that I was getting coffee staines on the bottom of my eyeteeth and despite my best efforts with a new toothbrush head for my Sonicare, I couldn't get rid of them and had to get a charcoal-based stain remover stick that fortunately worked. But I realised at this point that I was skipping my routine with the Sonicare. My preference has always been scrubbing my teeth like a traditional toothbrush which is what you do with Sonicare.. it's like manual brushing on steroids. But it was clear that I wasn't concentrating on brushing. One thing I didn't like about the Sonicare was they stopped making the smaller brush heads that I preferred. You can now buy knockoff versions but they're just not as good, so I was forced to buy the standard/bigger brush heads, which never felt as good for me. So about a year ago I had a look for Oral-B and thought it wouldn't hurt to get one of the cheaper models to see if it would help with the staining and of course they have smaller brush heads... I couldn't believe how sore my gums were, particularly around the top corners after the first use with the Oral-B, which was a clear indication that I wasn't cleaning effectively with the Sonicare, so I started to alternate between the Sonicare and cheap Oral-B. Fast forward a year and I saw the iO 9 was on one of its frequent half-price offers (why Oral-B does this in Europe is beyond me as their US prices are kept much lower without the near constant offers) and I decided to go ahead and see if the Sonicare-like vibrations would make much of a difference.. ..I've used it twice and I know it's a cliche but it really does feel like I just left the dentist.. And once again I have sore points where its clearly hitting points neither of my Sonicare or cheap Oral-B go to. One interesting thing I've noticed is that I don't need to rinse my mouth out with water. It seems to be so effective in using up the toothpaste, there's no residue to rinse out. I just use mouthwash after a minute instead. I haven't tried the app with bluetooth yet but I'm blown away just how effective this toothbrush is. The heads also seems to be a little cheaper than Sonicare, too. One word of warning though.. you'd be insane to pay the circa £500 full retail price this device, hence why they're often on 50% or more sales prices. You should also check the comparison matrix to see what features you need as the iO6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 all offer the same basic 'micro-vibration' cleaning and I don't see the 9 or 10 being any better in its core cleaning function in this regard. The day after I purchased this, it went back to full price and the lower models went on discount. Had I of known that, I might have gone with a cheaper model, but overall I'm very happy with it. One slight disappointment is the travel case.. this uses its own proprietary lead whereas the Sonicare has a USB-based travel charging case, so you need to take a separate cable along with the case for the Oral-B unfortunately. It looks like they've improved the iO 10 with a battery-based travel case but it currently sells for a crazy £800 price upon checking at the time of writing, and the brush functions appear to be the same as the iO 9.

A good toothbrush
Oral-B iO9 Electric Toothbrush is a toothbrush due to presets that allows you to brush your teeth the way you want from gum care to sensitive teeth to ultra clean it uses a sensor to make sure that you have full coverage of your mouth through the app with 16 different zones fast charging and with a travel case this product is great for Home and on to go. The sensor can be temperamental to following where you are brushing if you are too quick. The battery is great but I always put it on charge straight after use. so I can’t give you an honest opinion on using it on travels. it goes down a couple of percent when using it.

Very expensive
Best toothbrush that I had so far but the price is far beyond limits. Don’t know was the difference between IO9 and IO10. I paid 250£ on mine in December. At least at this price you expecting a spare head for this but hey nothing extra. Oral B. You decide if you want to paid the price.

Doesn’t clean well
Not worth the money. Stick with the brushes that have oscillating heads. These don’t clean as well and plaque has started to build up in areas it can’t clean.

Seems like a good toothbrush
I actually returned the Bi09 before I could use it. I bought it in the mistaken belief that my current i05 was faulty and needed replacing. However, it transpired I had 2 faulty brush heads in a pack of 4 which caused the i05 to make a very loud sound when brushing. Oral B refunded me for the faulty brush heads and I returned the i09 to Amazon for a refund as my i05 was only a year old. I gave the i09 5 stars as it does look very sleek and has multiple brushing options.

High-tech brushing that actually makes a difference
I didn’t think a toothbrush could feel luxurious—but here we are. The Oral-B iO9 is seriously impressive. The brushing experience is smooth, powerful, and feels like a full-on dentist clean every time. The pressure sensor is a lifesaver (no more aggressive scrubbing), and the app makes it kind of fun to keep track of your brushing habits. The real-time feedback sounds gimmicky but actually helps improve technique. Battery life is great, the charging stand looks sleek, and the travel case is a nice bonus. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? If you care about your teeth and love gadgets—absolutely.
