Lives of John Donne, Henry Wotton, Rich'd Hooker, George Herbert; Volume II Paperback – 26 May 2017

I suppose Volume I contains biographical material on John Donne. In this volume Walton traces the lives of Richard Hooker, George Herbert, and Robert Sanderson. I most enjoyed the chapters on Hooker and Herbert, but even the chapters detailing the Rev. Sanderson were interesting from a Protestant church history point of view. Written in the lovely prose of Izaak Walton, it makes for pleasant reading.

More information on some of my favorite authors. Recommend to others who also enjoy these authors and the seventeenth century.
