I used this product for carrying a 2-inch binder and notary journal, and on occasion a 1-inch binder. The black coating rubbed off, transferred to clothing, rendering the bag white and worn all over, anywhere it bends. The strap connections to the bag had no additional support where sewn stitching is, so the bag ripped in a perfectly square patch around the stitching, rendering bag unusable. Fortunately, I never had to experience severe water issues to verify its water resistance (simple rain was fine, but not since the straps ripped, opening the sides to elements). Luckily, I can still use the little pouch for something (money bag included). I wouldn't recommend this bag if you're looking for sturdy, weekly, let alone daily, use.
