Do you need a teflon sheet?

I too use a teflon sheet. I'm not completely certain that it is needed, but I feel it helps protect the fabric as well as the vinyl with the high heat settings and layering.

Is this good for beginners?

It is a good press, the only thing is it's not really good for adult shirts. You have to press and than move it, but on a 15 x 15 it saves more time by not moving the item aroumd. I bought this to start, but it is just to time consuming.

This is just the press machine ? How do we get the image to the tshirt ?

You will need a vinyl cutter of some kind to cut the image out.
