Let me tell ya, I was once the 5th grade Yo-Yo Champion of Neeskara Elementary. Sit down for a bit and listen to my story...It was the spring of 1988 and 4th grade was just wrapping up. We had a group of five Semi-Pro Yo-Yo-ists visit our school a few weeks before summer break would start. I was amazed by their hand skills, wrist flexibility and their finger acrobatics. I vowed I wouldn't stop until I became pro. Immediately I bought myself a Yo-Yo. My first Yo-Yo was mostly plastic, had a rough yarn rope and barely spun on its wooden axle shaft. But it was neon green and pink, as was the trend back then. All summer I practiced with that Yo-Yo and by the time 5th grade came around, I was the only kid still practicing. (Somehow all the other kids must have forgot how cool Yo-Yo's were.) Hence, by default, I became the 5th grade champion of Neeskara Elementary.This Yo-Yo is so much nicer than what we had back in the days. This MAGICYOYO (very appropriate name btw) is made from a hefty alloy with multi-bearings and a solid metal axle shaft in the middle. It came with an extra bearing and shaft as well. The neon strings were a nice touch and brought me back to the 80s. They're of a nice material and spun very nicely. It was nice to get extras so I could have a longer length for myself and a shorter one for my son.Overall, this is a high quality Yo-Yo. The weight of this Yo-Yo and the quality hardware really helps keep the momentum. My son and I had hours and hours of fun reliving my 5th grade glory days.

Having already been experienced with unresponsive yoyos, I really wanted to give this one a shot. It looked nicely designed, branded, and packaged. It delivered on all those fronts. The yoyo itself is a bit smaller than I expected, but considering that it has a multi purpose of also being a responsive yoyo, on top of being aimed at beginners, this makes sense.The build is all aluminum and solid. Due to it's small size it feels heavier on the string than some others, definitely not floaty in the air, and way more weighted and deliberate. I don't imagine most beginners would notice these details however.Out of the box it comes with the responsive bearing in place. I personally didn't enjoy using this yoyo as a responsive one due to it's weight (I feel that plastic is better for this category), but for a beginner that hasn't made up their mind yet this is a fine compromise. After a few minutes I switched out the to the unresponsive bearing/axle. The bearings, by the way, are surprisingly good.Unresponsive this is a great small yoyo. As mentioned above, it feels a little heavy, but you can't expect top grade engineering out of a starter kit. What I can say is that the yoyo is stable, doesn't vibe, and is very easy to perform tricks on - Meaning that this can last you months, if not years, until you decide what style you enjoy and what you want to upgrade to. This top will not hold you back.That being said, my one other complaint are the included strings. They're coarse, a bit too grippy, and they come pre-knotted and way too short. I personally took out the factory knot and tied it myself, but even then it's not great. Fortunately strings are disposable and you'll be replacing them soon regardless. Still, it's something to keep in mind. You may already be spoiled by the more premium brands.That being said this is just... solid. It's the perfect word for this yoyo. It's good, and if you think it checks what you need out of your first return top, or perhaps you just want an affordable addition to your collection, there's very little to be disappointed with here. All the included accessories and the fact that it can be converted between both responsive and unresponsive makes this a great yoyo.

This yoyo is great for all levels from beginners to advanced. It comes with 5 yoyo strings of different colors, a bearing to switch to an unresponsive yoyo, a bearing removal tool, a bag, and a mini allen key to loosen the bearing. I haven't played with a yoyo in 20 years, so I stuck with the responsive bearing to re-learn the basics and form. The build quality is very solid and I appreciate the weight of this, compared to the plastic ones that I've used in the past. It is definitely made for older kids/adults as it can potentially cause some harm if misused. Overall, it is a great all-around yoyo that has everything you need to progress to harder tricks.

I have always liked yoyos, but always purchased cheap plastic ones. The difference is night and day! Extra parts were included with the yoyo. There were also different color strings included, but I liked the electric yellow.Pros:The weight feels nice without being too heavy.This thing spins! I am able to do tricks and recall it fairly easily.Instructions were a nice touch in case the user is brand new.No knicks, dings, or scratches in the metal even after walking the dog and dropping.Extra parts were nice for people who know what they are doing.Cons:Hurts when you get hit in the face.I would highly recommend this for someone new to yoyoing. I don't know much about higher level stuff, so this may not be a great one for experts.

I wanted to try this with my son as he is obsessed with yoyo's and has only ever had very cheap made plastic ones. This yoyo is a beautifully designed metal yoyo with bearings on the center shaft for fast and long spinning tricks.I think it is great that it came with multiple color strings and spare bearing. My son was ecstatic to play with it and has not put it down. Very inexpensive price for a quality toy!
