A rather SPECTACULAR walking dino...
The media could not be loaded. I think this is pretty impressive. I love the visual design of the dinosaur; the textured surface and organic colours used give the dinosaur a very realistic appearance. When activated, the dino can actually walk forwards and backwards (it's quite fast!), complete with suitably menacing sound effects; there’s also an auto mode to see the dino in action without any direction necessary. The remote control has a minimalist vibe to it and I like that the buttons themselves form the shape of a dinosaur; it’s easy to use in my opinion although I can see some people preferring multicoloured buttons for clearer differentiation.I do think the sound effects could be enhanced, perhaps a special button on the remote to activate different roaring sounds for more engagement. It would also be great to have a wider range of motion for the tail and the option to initiate movement of the jaw perhaps when the dino is in a static position; just some additional interactivity to add to the excitement during play...The dino works best on smooth, flat surfaces, mainly because of the design of the claws and the relatively small surface area of the feet in relation to the weight of the dino itself. It DOES work on low/medium pile carpet but is a little more prone to toppling.Overall, I think this is a great toy for a child who loves dinosaurs: it’s something a bit different from a static dino toy or a remote controlled car - and it certainly looks spectacular in motion, not to mention rather lifelike (eek!). Yes, added features might be nice but I think for the price, this is superb. I’ll be looking out for a high end model in the future.N o t e s / T i p s :- The dino needs charging for approx 2 hours (this provides around 2 hours of play)- Remote control uses 2x AA batteries (not included; mini screwdriver to access battery compartments IS included)- IF the red light on the remote control is flashing continuously and your dino isn’t moving, make sure the switch on the dino’s belly is turned on so the remote control can connect.

Could be a ‘roaring success’ as a gift
The media could not be loaded. This is a fun item that adults are likely to want a go at as well as their children. This remote control dinosaur comes well packaged, partially built there are the front legs and the tail that need putting in place. The latter has a sort of double hook type fastening and the legs are screwed into place. The screws and a spare along with a screwdriver are supplied. The body of this velociraptor dinosaur needs to be charged up. The info suggests this takes about 2 hours – we found it was nearer 3 for its initial charge . It has a red button when plugged in and is charging. The important thing to remember is the remote control needs 2 x AA batteries to work. These are not supplied. Then the fun begins. You could start with the ‘demo’ button if you want an idea what it can do. Its movements are pretty realistic. Then it is about controlling via various buttons – working these out either by trial and error or actually looking at the info on the box. Don’t worry if it falls over – this mostly happens when you make it run and turn at the same time at speed. It’s the fun of learning to control so this doesn’t happen. The remote control is ‘dinosaur parts’- shaped buttons a bit like a fossil on a rock. There are roars, flashing lights and tail swinging which add to the enjoyment of the dinosaur play. All in all this could be a ‘roaring success’ as a birthday or Christmas present.

Very disappointed- broke immediately
Very disappointed with this product.Brought ahead for Christmas for my little man for Christmas day, the foot of the dinosaur literally fell off when taking it out of the box, and we are unable to fix it back. The return window has now closed, so not even able to return for a refund/exchange.Very sad little man on Christmas day 😢

Just when you thought it was safe…
The media could not be loaded. As a strong, independent woman I am unashamed to say this toy made me jump out of my skin and scream. It is QUICK. It also lulls you into a false sense of security - there’s a button to make the Dino surge forward, and just when you think it’s stopped, it lunges again. Would make a great gift for anyone that likes gadgets, or wants to re-enact their favourite scenes from Jurassic Park.Pros- Easy to assemble, and a screw driver is provided to help you install batteries into the controller.- The Dino has motion, lights and sound.- Great mechanics, very responsive to the controller and moves well on carpet. Good sized turning circle.- Dinosaur is rechargeable and a cable is provided (no USB plug though).Cons- Whatever angle you photograph it from, it’s looking back.- Definitely not for small children (small parts and scary!), the box says 3+.- It comes with three little screws for permanently securing the limbs on - but there’s nothing in the instructions about this. So take care letting young children put it together as these could be easily lost or swallowed.- No batteries provided (takes 2x AA batteries)

Cheap but decent
Really cool toy although the cat isn’t that keen on it, the dinosaur looks great and walks well although the controller is a bit hit and miss but not that bad. The value for money I’d say is good but as far as the durability goes it does feel rather fragile but so far so good.

Great Dinosaur
It’s a great toy. The remote works really well. The toy does roll around really easily on different types of flooring.
